Can anyone help me with GIMP?

IDK how to use GIMP, and whenever I try to color something, it acts like the program Paint and only colors pixels that are the same color. And I need to know how to make it just color one whole space. Please help me!!!!!

It is all pixely around places and I just want it to color one whole area without white pixels around it.

You'll need to make a new layer under the lineart and colour it with the brush. The fill tool is sucky, so don't use it :3

Indeed. The fill tool is suckish, I made a gradient of FG to FG just to get out of using it X3

You can even use most photoshop tutorials for GIMP, except things are located in different places most of the time..

Now I need some more help. I'm trying to color an animation frame in GIMP but if I choose a color other than Black, it automatically comes out as gray. How do I prevent this?
