I need help...
I'm way too busy for characters. And I'm not joking. I'm done with characters. They take up too much of my time and I hate it. But there is a problem to my wanting to get rid of them. I have spend tons of Pet, DA points, and other things to get these characters and their art. And I would feel bad asking the original owner to pay to take it back. But I don't want to loose all the things I paid for them. What should I do?

Please don't comment on this saying stuff like "I know I'm so busy with school I can only order a bit of art." I'm not trying to be rude but that's not the situation I'm in. I have no time for them anymore. I hate them now because they are taking too much of my time. I need to focus myself on more important things in life.

Sell the characters, simple as that. I doubt you'd be able to get people to refund you for art or designs. If they don't sell, ignore them. There's nothing making you take any time out of your life for your characters at all.

I would but a lot of characters have strict rules that say I'm not allowed trading/selling/gifting/etc. That's where I'm stuck.

You need to return them to the owners if you're not allowed to do that. My design you have, Churchill, isn't allowed to be traded/sold. ^^ c:

You should pm the previous owner first, however. I know that plenty will allow you to gift them, donate them, or sell them for less than what was paid.

I agree that is would be a waste to let these characters rot. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.
I've narrowed everything down now.
I'm keeping my 2 sonas and 8 other characters that I can't bear to part with.
Now I'm trying to contact all the original owners to see if I'm allowed trading/selling/gifting/donating them.
so I need some help.

1. If you see your name under the 'waiting to receive rules/permission' tab please PM me and tell me what I'm allowed doing with that character (donating, selling, trading, gifting, etc).
2. If you see a character you sold me under the 'Seeking past owners' tab please PM me and tell me what I'm allowed doing with that character.
3. Do not offer on the ones I'm keeping or sending back to SCAA.
