The raindog is a mysterious breed of dog said to live in the mountains and forests of Asia and the Americas. As legend goes, the raindog's howl is capable of creating a rainstorm, and when many raindogs gather together and create a great call, a drenching thunderstorm is said to occur. In a hot area, this rainstorm can leave a town humid for days, and in cold areas a snowstorm may happen instead of rain. These dogs are capable of running at the speed of the average cheetah and making calls that can be heard from over 15 miles away. The howl and physical appearance of the raindog is similar to that of a wolf, but do not be deceived - these creatures are not wolves! They have a very distinct raindrop marking on their bodies, usually on the face or hindquarters, which allows them to be distinguishable from other similar species. Also, their tails are often but not always different colors than their torso or face. While very docile and tame, they are very elusive and at times cowardly of people, and will keep as much distance as possible from them and civilization. However, since the habitat of the raindog is being increasingly destroyed, they are slowly beginning to come out of hiding and are now becoming closer to people and less fearful of their presence. In order to keep the raindog species safe and out of harm, a team of veteranarians and scientists are humanely capturing, caring for, and learning more about the raindog. Since they lack a great amount of habitat, these specialists are allowing qualified owners to care for these raindogs in order to keep the population alive and growing.
Adoption
In order to keep the raindog species alive and well, you too may have the opportunity of raising and caring for up to two raindogs. To adopt a raindog, please fill out the form below. If you have a reference picture, you don't have to fill out the rest of the description but it is appreciated to make sure your raindog turns out exactly how you'd like. If you do not have a reference picture, be sure to be detailed and specific!

Breeding
You may allow your raindogs to breed, or you can breed one of yours with one owned by another member (so long as they are in agreement), but they are only capable of having two litters of pups in their lifetimes. These litters usually consist of 2-4 pups. Also, the raindog is complete with the extremely rare ability of giving birth no matter their gender! This means that you may have a male and female, male and male, or female and female pair breed together and it will still result in a litter. In the case that you breed your own raindogs together, you may receive all the pups. However, if you breed yours with another member's, you can keep half and the other member can keep half, unless you decide that one member gets all the pups and just has permission to breed with yours (and vice versa) or if one member receives more than the other. Please fill out this form to breed a pair of raindogs.

Rules
1. Follow Tess' rules for Oekaki.
2. Don't beg or complain if your pet is not done soon. I may be busy and not have enough time to get yours done in a short amount of time.
3. Don't force another member to make your pet breed with theirs. Kindly ask them here or through private message. If they agree, awesome. If not, don't make a big deal out of it.
4. You don't have to pay me for making your pet but it is appreciated. I'll accept any pet or item, especially one on my wishlist.
5. Please keep my signature in the picture and don't claim the art as your own. You are only credited with the design idea, not the actual picture.
6. If you would like to edit this yourself, feel free to, so long as you obey rule 5.
7. Keep in mind that I am fairly new to Oekaki but I have decent experience in paint, so things may not turn out perfect. If I've left out an important detail, don't be afraid to tell me, but all I ask is that you not be rude about it.
8. Don't ask for a ridiculously hard accessory to draw. Like I said, I'm not the best and I may not be able to do everything, but I will play around with ideas a bit to see if I'm capable.
9. If you are an artist, you may feel free to create your own two raindogs and breed them so long as you ask for permission first.
