Is the white outcome the rarest of the DOTD dogs?
I thought so, but of the nine puppies I adopted, three will be white, and I'm really not that lucky.

2 of them grown with wings! I'm hoping that the rest have wings as well...and here's to hoping to get that white wolf pps that I still don't have. XD *le sigh*

Both parents have wings, so I will be very surprised if some of them grow up without wings^^

I think it would be cool if one came out without wings. Like some sort of rare mutation ^^

Kinda disappointed with the purple 2gen
looks to much like this guy:
I know he's her father (To me he's her father >.> I kinda genderize a lot of the pets) but its just a tiny change

I feel the same way. same for this dog:

This one is way too similar to the mother.
I do have very high hopes for this pup:

I see lots of differences in these two pets.
Yes, the most obvious is that the adult parent is orange and has an orange glow while the pup has purple markings and glow.
But look closer. The markings are different in size, shape, and color orientation. Then look at the ears. The parent has a fuller darkness in the ear than the pup does. For the eyes, the parent has slitted cats eyes, while the pup has rounder pupils.
I also see small differences in the shading for where the light hits and possibly refracts under the wings.
The facial markings are entirely different from the parent to the pup. On the parent the nose snip looks to make the face broader and fuller. On the pup the thicker face marking and nose snip that connects to the eye mask makes the face look more sculpted.

Are these all "little things"? Yup. But added together they are huge.

I agree, I wish the grown pups so far had been more of a mix between the parents, rather than near identical. Although I guess sometimes that does happen irl, you get a kid that looks near identical to one parent. -shrugs-

Not that either aren't gorgeous, especially the purple one. <3

I honestly don't understand what there is to complain about. There are MANY 2nd gens that look exactly like one parent but with the colors of the other. Artists of 2nd gens have said that coloring them this was was just a basic formula, for two of the pups would have one parents markings and the other parent's color scheme. The other 2-3 pups in the litter are a a mix of the parents. This formula is evident in many of the 2nd Gen and 3rd gen litters through out the years.

I for one am love the 2nd gen pups so far ^^
