Chip awoke, and stretched, blinking sleep out of his stinging eyes. He looked around, confused at first, then he saw flames leaping outside the den. He jumped to his feet, and ran into Darkness's and Shima's den. “Wake up!” He barked, “Take Night and Lady to the island!” He ran out, going to waken Rain and Cloud. Breathless, he skidded into their den. “Get out of here! GO to the island!” he barked, franticly. Then he ran out himself, seeing that Sheba was already out and running. He shivered as he plunged into the icy water, and swam to the island, climbing up and walking to the cave, where the rest were.
