So many plays this week, so little time. I'm supposed to go see four plays, that I know of, this week, and my brother's only coming to two of them with me. I understand that most theatre kids don't have a life, but I think this week is going just a little overboard. Can't they spread them out evenly over November?

if you're a feminist, that does not mean that you're saying "ALL MEN ARE PIGS AND STUPID". you are not fighting for a matriarchal society [a society where women are "dominant"; we live in a widely patriarchal society at the moment where men are "dominant"]. you are fighting for a society where there is no gender discrimination and both men and women have the same opportunities and treatment. you are not asking for special treatment as a woman. you are not asking for favors as a woman. you are not asking for people to give you this or that job or this or that thing because you are a woman. you are asking people do judge you on your personality and merits and do not take in your gender at all. that is what being a feminist is. if you're a feminist but you still want the guy to buy the meal on a date every single time and expect the man to work while you stay home, then you are not a feminist. a feminist would offer to buy the meal because that's fair. a feminist would stay home because she actually wants to and not because it's "expected" of her.
and you're not a feminist just because you're like "YOU'RE A HOUSE WIFE YOU'RE ALLOWING YOURSELF TO BE CONTROLLED BY THE PATRIARCHAL SOCIETY"
uh, newsflash: there's nothing wrong with being a housewife.
what's wrong is that there's the preconception that the woman's place is in the home.
