Two packs have joined together to form the White Moonlight Pack. Everyone is scared and nervous, not sure if this new arrangement is going to work. Most only know half the wolves from the other side. The pack still doesn't have enough wolves to fill in all the roles, but somehow it has to work. There are two alphas, betas, deltas, and sentinels. No one has been down ranked, but is that enough to keep certain members from leaving the pack and creating a rivalry? Plus, winter is coming. This is courting season for wolves, and they all feel it. Will there be pups this spring? Or just bloodshed?

Blazing Moonlight Pack used to thrive. Their leader was Cyclone, a dark gray and black male with a will to live and the brain, and brawn, to lead. All his senses were constantly at work, and even during famines his pack survived well off. When Cyclone became old and unable to lead, his oldest son, Rithtar, took his place as alpha. He led almost as well, and the pack never waned. But perfection never lasts forever. Rithtar's only surviving son, Beldrum, killed his father in an attempt to take over the pack. He was not a good leader, though his battle smarts and huge muscles kept him going strong. No wolf could beat him. Before long, the pack struggled to maintain its oneness. Finally Beldrum died, and his heir Hailstorm, who likened to Cyclone in more than just looks, tried his hardest to rebuild the mess his father left him.

The White Nightlings are a neighboring pack that share the same forest and drink from the other side of the river. Their leader, a light sandy gray brute named Dusk, hopes one day to join the two packs together. However, the war with the Blazing Moonlight Pack is still thick, and negotiating at this point is useless. Another problem: Dusk's territory doesn't attract much prey. Many years, the pack has to survive on rabbits and smaller rodents, and the occasional bird. Joining the packs together would fix this problem, but since that isn't an option right now, Dusk sends out hunters to the other side of Blazing Moonlight territory to bring down large game and drag it back. But as the war with Blazing Moonlight needs more and more wolves to take part, food becomes the least of their worries.

Ranks

Alpha - Leader in all respects.

Beta - Second in command. Full command over the sentinel.There can be more than one beta.

Delta - Beta in training. The delta is often offspring of the beta, or a new young wolf with good potential. There can be more than one delta.

Sentinel - Guards the area surrounding the den. The sentinel's range can sometimes be up to two miles.

Scout - Under the command of the sentinel. A scouts range is usually about one square mile, and anywhere from two miles away from the den to the boundaries of the territory.

Hunter - A young wolf with good speed, stamina, and strength. Hunters also serve as warriors when necessary.

Elder - Older wolves in the pack. Most are simply there, while others might be a favorite of pups' for telling stories or such things.

Adolescent - A young wolf from the age of six months to one year. They do not have any special duties accept for learning. Wolves of every rank take part in teaching these young wolves how to stay alive. Older adolescents may have the job of babysitting for restless mothers.

Pup - Wolves from the age of zero to six months. They are either nursing, sleeping, or playing.

Mother - Any female with pups. If they are very young, the mother stays inside the nursing den, and is brought food. She does not participate in her normal duties.

Rules

Try to refrain from constant one liners. They get old fast.
No power playing or god modding.
Be nice, fair, and not stupid.
Don't beg others to do something with you, whether in OOC or somehow getting it across in the actual role play that it is up to everyone else to make sure you have something to do. Just commenting something like, "Anyone open and need something to do?" or "Hey, your character should meet my character and blah blah blah."
Use capital letters and punctuation. It makes everything nicer.
You can have up to four characters. Only two of them can be Alpha, Beta, Delta, or Sentinel.
Keep everything realistic.
Be creative, as long as it follows the previous rule.
Make your form neat! Make sure to look it over after you have submitted it to see if you made any formatting mistakes or entered in incorrect info!
Make sure OOC is separate from IC using () or something similar.

He also has almost no compassion to deal out to wolves whose feelings are hurt.

Pros: Dawn is great at leading, very rarely harsh, but instead understanding. She is a good sprinter, and can run at top speed for a while. Her ears are especially fine tuned, and her nose and eyes are good too.

History;;"Stars past is quite horrific, never ask her about it. Star was born into a small pack, her mother and father were quite old and needed a offspring so she or he could take over the pack when they have passed. Star was born and raised happily, once her parents passed she was left with the small pack. Being the alpha female her responsibilities were quite hard for her to complete since she was fairly young. Unaware of the near by wolf hunters, Star decided to move the pack. As they moved along they were attacked, Star took for shelter with the pups as the fighters did there job, trying to protect the pack. Long story short the pack died and Star along with a pup were the only survivors. Star took care of the pup with all she had but the pup grew sick and died leaving Star alone.
