The pups are still available and they only costs two lollies and one pumpkin. No way on Earth are any of those pups going to be rare for YEARS XD

Hehe, the longer they stay available for purchase, the more likely they will have a lower rarity =D Though personally i only got 1 White Howler, but i only bought 10 pups =D Without knowing how much longer the pets will be available, i'm going to venture that the White Howler will be uncommon rarity at most.
I think the only pets that are a more likely definite rare would be the BWolves rewarded as a participation prize for the Goodie Bag giveaway.
They are overvalued for now because people want to get all the halloween pets as soon as they can, as so that they can stop stressing. However, the value of the pets, once the event is over and it becomes the December event, is going to drop like a rock- like it always does. People will start to get loose with the more difficult to come by pups, and will trade them off for others on their wishlist. Such has always been the way of the smoothie.
But I have a feeling that the BW are going to be pretty hard to get ahold of seance everyone only got one of each, and sure, some people are hoarding them, and that's only going to make it more difficult for people who join later on to get their paws on them. Plus the fact that it only ran for a week,and with the upcoming December event, a lot of accounts are going to get banned. And a lot of BW are going to get lost or sucked into dead accounts where they will rest for as long as the site is up. I was fortunate to get an extra pair for a friend who couldn't get on during October, but that went straight into a group only for her.
