She took the scents in again, "Yes, we better go and find out what happened" she meowed with worry before turning and padding quickly to follow the scent

Reedfoot nodded, and he swiftly followed the scent. Soon, he got to a clearing and his eyes went wide, Firestar was laying in the clearing, his neck looked like it had been shredded completely, and blood had stained the ground around the leader. Gingerfur was also nowhere in sight.

"Oh no, FIRESTAR!" Fawnspots yowled and leaped to her leaders side, "Firestar? Firestar can you hear me?! Please answer me!" she begged. "What will Mosspetal say, and her kits?" She nuzzled her head against his flank, "Please......" she whispered drifting off into silent sobs

Reedfoot sighed and he padded over to Firestar, he rested his head on the toms shoulder. "He's breathing, but hardly, he won't be living for much longer, no cat could heal his neck, not even StarClan."

WhitePaw heard shrieks. Soot was asleep. She went to the sound. "FireStar?" she was confused.

"Help me Reedfoot, We have to get him to camp now, Mosspetal will want to talk to him... Whitepaw, run to camp and tell Mosspetal to meet up part way" She mewed painfully

Reedfoot nodded, and he gently grabbed Firestar's scruff, and carefully, he made the dying leader lean against him.

WhitePaw nodded. She ran to camp. "Firestar is dying!" she cried. She went over to MossPetal. "Meet FawnSpots part way, she told me to tell you," WhitePaw was panting she was tired.

Fawnspots leaned against his other side, "Slowly now, one pawstep at a time, Firestar. We will be back at camp soon" she murmured gently

Mosspetal stared at Whitepaw, then she nodded and ran out of camp.

Reedfoot flicked his ears, and he moved forward slightly when Firestar did, going paw step by paw step slowly.
