Thanks, I think I might color a few parts of it, and leave the rest blank, hopefully it won't look bad.

Four hours, thank goodness XD So I'll definitely have time to get a drawing done, and I might be able to get to the maximum word count.

I really like how this is turning out, except for the fact that I don't think it really expresses the character enough. So off to work on that.

It doesn't have to be in colour; black and white or greyscale is fine. :3

Whoever gets him, I'd like to see once in a while wat you've done with him ^^

Murrrrrr...but doesn't art not count as much as writing?

Is it possible for someone with just writing to beat out somebody with good art and writing?

I think the impression I got was that art just counts for extra credit. 8)
I must agree with you Mei, it's especially impressive because she doesn't speak english. (quality over quantity!)

I'm pretty sure writing matters more, Xanre. I think art is just a 'bonus' to break the tie between two equally good forms, so I /think/ that it's very possible to use just writing and beat someone with art and writing. It depends on the writing of both forms, though.

But this is all just what I think I heard Atwood and Wendigo say, though I can't be positive ^^;

I actually just PMed Atwood about that; this is their reply. ^^

Atwood wrote:Art is a pretty small factor - it's meant to help people with weaker writing skills but good art ability have a chance against people with great writing skills while not being able to overpower well-written forms purely with art while having a shoddy writing segment. Actually, in the last round there was one character that had a lot of forms with art submitted for it, and the clear winner was the one form that didn't have art at all. An excellent form is very unlikely to lose to an average form with great art unless there is something particularly special about the art so that it makes up for deficits in the writing (for example, if they depict the background mostly through creative illustrations rather than creative writing, that could gain more points than average). I'm still working on fine-tuning the art points, but so far it seems to be working as it should and not giving too great an advantage while still providing a bit of a boost. :3

Adding on to what's above: The art is mostly to give a little boost for people who aren't as strong with writing, but certainly forms that have no art can beat forms that do have art. If the top written form for a design scores 90%, then a form with art will have to score about 75% in the writing section alone and then get full bonus points for the art (which hasn't happened yet, not counting the current round) to beat it. In terms of letter grades, for those who know that system, full bonus points for art could bring a B+ form up to an A+, part marks could bring a B+ up to an A or A-, but it won't bring a C up to an A. For the most part, the writing will have to be at a reasonable level already for the art to bring it up to the top ranks. ;3

So it doesn't count for as much if it hasn't got a background?
