Username:poofycat
Deity Name:Dalanthay
Gender: Goddess
Element: Spring

Personality:since she is just a pup, she is still very energetic and fun-loving, though as she grows up, will probably end up a bit calmer. She is friendly and loves 2 meet new people, and is very trusting. but still, beneath that pup-like curiosity and playfulness, Dalanthay is a caring, loving wolf. She loves randomly giving gifts and is very loyal and caring. she cares for all living beings, from the tiniest seed to the greatest dragon and would stop at nothing to help any of them. she is also a bit educated in herb lore and healing, which she also uses to help sick or injured animals in need, but as a secret wish you will find out about in the story. :)
Art:(can be ordered from other artists, any poetry or stories must be written by you though)i added extra sections, so it would be easier since im doing all three of them. sorry its on lined paper, i was going to do the one for this contest and didnt expect it to come out that well. i also derpily let it get wet. total fail. :P

this is what i think her human form would look like if she had one:
Image
story:(sry, im using chatspeak, typing this is gonna take a while) the grass under her pads felt soft and springy. flowers bloomed behind her and when the wolf looked behind her she could c her pawprints in the snow, gradually getting bigger as the snow melted faster. a bird fluttered overhead, its sweet song ringing through the air. Dalanthay's spirits lifted a bit, but she still stayed depressed. a warm breeze ruffled her fur, and she looked down as she took a step. as her paw touched the ground, the snow underneath it immediately melted. she didnt even feel its cold. Dalanthay sighed, gazing wistfully at the snow in front of her, so close, she could just touch it... her hopes vanished as the snow melted, just when the tips of her claws touched it. Dalanthay stared down in horror. suddenly, she took off, paws pounding the ground, ears flat and eyes wide in terror as she watched the wintery wonderland start 2 disappear around her. the snow disappeared, turning into gently flowing sreams that crossed her path, and the warm breeze surrounding her melted the icicles and made them drip, drip down onto her fluffy coat by the time they were no more than water. she ran. se ran farther, and farther still, frightfully glancing back from time to time, looking back at the growth behind her, then staring straight ahead again, dashing quick looks 2 the side and around her, leaping, as if trying to run away from the lush greenness behind her.
she went deeper into the forest, but still she kept running, the fur along her spine raised as her pelt brushed past birches, oaks, redwood, evergreens, willows, maples, pines, until finally she could run no more. Dalanthay settled down under a bush in the middle of a small clearing, panting, and still glancing wildly around her from time 2 time as her own powers trapped the wolf in springtime. She knew it was no use. She would never b able 2 touch snow without melting it, or try walking on a frozen pond without falling through. Sighing, she curled her tail around her paws and fell asleep.
She dreamed of a brilliant white flower, snow on its leaves and frost glittering on its petals, laden with icicles. then Dalanthay noticed everything turning green at the edges of the clearing, and choked back a cry as she realised it was her own power, spreading spring throughout the clearing. the lushness was coming closer and closer to the flower, but as it hit its roots, nothing happened. it was as cool and frosty as ever. her eyes widened in surprise and joy, but didnt dare touch it, still nervous about what she could do to the plant. instead she stood there, gazing at the flower in wonder, the flower that seemed immune to the warmer aura surrounding her and would not melt. suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a rabbit quickly hop up to the flower and nibble at its petal. Dlanthay wanted to run over and shoo the rabbit away, but her paws were frozen to the ground.
the rabbit ate a whole leaf before hopping away, though Dalanthay noticed the gray dapples on its tail, covering part of its white fur. suddenly, she was flying, high above the ground, until she finally landid in the same clearing in which she had fallen asleep, and woke up under her bush. she woke up with a start as Dalanthay's dream-soul reentered her body, and her ears perked up as the light in her eyes lit abright once again. she bounded out of her bush, scanning her surroundings and darting toward a small path through the ferns.
somehow, she knew axactly where 2 go, which path 2 take, which tree 2 turn at. soon, she came 2 the little clearing and stuck her nose in the air, searching 4 smells. she noticed the flower was still there, but did not dare touch it, knowing that it might withstand her powers from a distance, but probably wont stay so wintery and cool if she touched even its thinnest roots.
soon Dalanthay found the scent she was looking 4; the rabbits smell was still fresh, and she realized that in her dream she was there just as the events she had seen had unfolded. she took off in the direction of the scent, the fresh grass muffling her light pawsteps. the goddess took care 2 make little sound, swerving around plants and bushes so that they wouldnt rustle as she went past, sniffing the air. her bright pink toungue lolled out, her heart racing with adrenalin, and her ears perked up, listening 4 the slightest noises. finally, she heard the faint sound of a rabbit hopping, of its soft hairs brushing the leaves, and she slowed down, not wanting 2 crash into it. she felt a slight change in the air on her nose, and as she went farther, a cold breeze ruffled her fur. soon, she saw the beginnings of frost on the grass, and then the frozen leaves, which soon had a coat of ice. the scent of rabbit was overpowering and Dalanthay knew it was just beyond the next bush. she peered over the leaves and saw the rabbit nibbling on icy grass just in front of her. she remembered the exact pattern of dark speckles on its tail and paws, and saw them on the rabbit. Dalanthay's eyes narrowed as she kept running towad the bush, then with a mighty leap she exploded through the branches at the startled rabbit.
Before it had the chance 2 run, she had already pounced on it, and quickly killed the rabbit, biting the neck so it was almost painless. she gave silent thanks 2 the rabbit 4 its life and closed its eyes before eating the animal. S Dalanthay took the first bite, pain seared through her limbs and the beutiful goddesss could hardly stand as her appearance changed. Her rosy pelt became a striking blue, darker at the tips, and the light clouds flowing from her pelt and elbows became dark and snowy. the leaves on her back were replaced by snow, and the flowers became a tiny forest of small evergreen trees as the petals that fell from her back became gently blowing snow. the wings on her forepaws became branches of pine, glittering with frost, and icicles hung from her fur. the wolf's flowery markings became bright purple, laced with snowflakes as gentle and fragile as if they werw real. the orb on her head became a pearly blue as well, and only her eyes remaied the same glittering amber. the goddess of spring became the goddess of winter.
to be continued... (i hope so at least, but i am very busy, must think up the rest and finish a story by ahalloween. i hardly even started working on it, and three poems. aaaaahhhhhhhhhh! but i will do my best 2 finish everything by the deadlines.
poem:

the sun blows through the water
its rays bringing endless warmth
and the gentle breeze that lifts the mists
makes the snow start to totter
from its tree branch.
the early birds come towards the north,
their hatchlings picked up by the gusts
that blow flowers throughout the land.
dew gleams with rainbows
and settles on new leaves
as the light blows
through the night.
our hearts seem to shine so bright
as the dawn reaveals
after days of frost
and sunsets lost
to the snowy clouds
which bring winter's dark frosty glow.
but the warmth is here
to cradle sleep
as animals deep
in their burrows
awaken towards
the comforting moss
growing on trees.

The sun comes up and I reach for it's warmth
I jump to touch it's warming hands
I bask in it's warmth
But then it leaves, my eyes grow dreary,
But I know it'll start over the next day
