Including her tail, her length is about 7 inches long, she fits in your hand perfectly, and loves sleeping in the crook of your neck, it keeps her warm and she fits perfectly.
Weight
Aurora weighs about 5 ounces, which is the weight of a deck of cards. I know, it's very light, but she's tiny, and she isn't exactly the most buff Rune you'd ever meet.
Colors
Aurora's main color is a dark pink, and she has accents of a pink pearly color. The jewelry wrapped around her is silver with accents of blue topaz, it's her favorite jewel.
Accessories
This is Aurora's favorite accessory, a beautiful white gold necklace with a blue topaz setting, it's pretty hard to spot her not wearing it, the necklace is very close to her heart. (This necklace is pictured in the art I have of her.)
Other
Aurora has fur like velvet, it's very short, but extremely soft. She was actually born with most of the jewelry wrapped around her, I'm not sure what it's made of though.

Activity:Likes:Cheese BallsAurora worships this snack, it's her heaven! I don't even think they should be considered food because of how processed they are, but Aurora obviously doesn't either agree nor care. She can eat twice her body weight worth of those things in one day, and I have to hide them from her to keep her from eating too many. She is always covered in cheese too, it's so hard to clean off, and that's another reason why I bathe her every day. I think if anyone gave her cheese balls, she would pretty much become their slave for more, she's a little crazy about them.
Making JewelryAurora loves making all types of jewelry for herself and others, and
Liliana and I love to help her! Her favorite supplies to use are white gold and blue topaz, she doesn't like the color of normal gold, and the color of the
blue topaz stone is her favorite color! She loves to gift others, but I often don't let her gift gold or topaz jewelry if it's going out of our family, it's very expensive and difficult to find.
NappingWaaaa! Napping! Aurora can't resist the offer of a good nap, and I think it's just a coincidence, with her sharing a name with a girl nicknamed "sleeping beauty" and all. Aurora enjoys to nap in the small pocket I made for her in my messenger bag, she can stay in there for hours and no one ever notices her. She also likes dozing on my shoulder, that way she's closer to me, and I keep her warm that way in the colder months.
Dislikes:Being without JewelryAurora's natural instinct is to be covered in jewelry, so when she doesn't, she feels naked and weird. I take them off of her while she bathes, because I don't know what they're made of, and she doesn't want them getting ruined. She's always wearing her jewelry, especially her necklace. She isn't uncomfortable to sleep with though, the jewelry wrapped around her is made of some type of biological material, so it forms to whatever Aurora is laying on.
GoldAurora likes white gold, but that's the only exception. It's not like she's allergic to it or anything, she just doesn't like the color gold or gold jewelry. I tried to give her some once, but she turned it down, surprising me, because it was a locket with a large blue topaz setting. I don't really care for it either, it's very difficult to find stuff that's matches it, and it would be worth a lot of money worth of gold to loose a piece of jewelry.
Large FoodsAurora doesn't generally eat foods bigger than her, she just doesn't like their size, and she thinks I always expect her to finish it, when I don't. As you know, she weighs about the size of a deck of cards, so you can imagine how limited her diet is when you think about how many large foods she won't eat. She will eat foods like apples when I cut them into smaller pieces, but other than that, she shies away from the big stuff for the most part.
Personality:SweetAurora is very kind, she's never rude or mean, and is so much so that she's a little bit of a pushover.She's always so thoughtful, sharing words of kindness and useful gifts that only she would think of; her gifts are always perfect, they a lot of times not things that we ask for, but when it's received we realize we wanted it more than what we had ask for from others.
LoyalNo matter what, Aurora will never leave your side when she's needed, you can always depend on her. Aurora puts her family first, they mean the most to her, and more than anyone else. She hasn't found her perfect mate yet, but I know that he will mean the world to her if he's right. She is my bond, my baby, and I would never let anything happen to her, and she almost never leaves me, I can always count on her to be there for me.
GentleAurora is very gentle she would never hurt a soul, and I don't she could even if she tried. She has the lightest touch, she's like a feather sitting on your shoulder or curled up in your hands, you'd never know she was even there. She's very good with small children, she loves them so much and always knows exactly what to do to keep them calm and happy, it's a gift of hers. Aurora may be small, but she is very influential.
GirlyAs if it isn't obvious, Aurora is quite girly. She doesn't like getting dirty, always has to be wearing her jewelry, and is for the most part very proper and polite. She isn't overly prissy though, she doesn't expect everything to go her way and never have to do anything, it's a rough world out there, and we aren't going to get by expecting others to work for us, it just isn't going to happen. Just to keep her happy, I always bathe her before bed, I know she likes it, and so do I, I wouldn't want a little dirt ball sleeping in the crook of my neck every night.
ShyYou may look at her and think she's very shallow, bold, and unnerved, but Aurora is actually very unselfish and shy. Aurora is a little bit of a pushover, but she has her limits. I am there most of the time to protect her, we're very close, but when she's by herself, it's sometimes hard for her to hold her own. So overall, she's very quiet, but she's still not too shy to stand up for herself in extreme situations.
ClingyLike a small child, Aurora is very attached to me. She comes with me everywhere I go, she can't stand to be away from me, and hates when I leave her at home. She's always right with me, whether it being flying/walking next to me, sitting on my shoulder, or curled up in my hands or shoulder bag. I sewed a pocket onto the outside of my bag just for her, you'd never know she's there, she's so small and quiet.
Quirks:FidgetsAurora always has to have something to do, and most of the time it's playing with her jewelry. She likes twirling and biting it, it's one of her bad habits. She's been trying to stop, but she can't help it, it's involuntary for her. It's often only the jewelry on her body though, she never touches her necklace. Aurora keeps her necklace pristine, I almost never see her fidgeting with it.
Favors Her Left SideI guess you could say Aurora's left handed, but left-brained is more like it, because she doesn't exactly write a lot. When you are left-brained, your left side is most of the time stronger, and you are generally more logical, analytical, and objective, versus a right-brained person who is generally more intuitive, thoughtful, and subjective. This isn't totally true for Aurora though, she is after all very thoughtful. [/quote]
Drinks only Cool WaterNot warm, not room temperature, not cold, cool, only cool. It's so picky, but she can't help it. Aurora's teeth are extremely temperature-sensitive, not to mention a teaspoon of cold water can change her body temperature in an instant. It's hard to find when the temperatures outside are extreme, but we manage.
Why I Want Her: Aurora is a beautiful rune, and deserves treatment fitting for a princess. My favorite color is pink, and I love blue and silver jewelry, so that was probably the main reason I felt so drawn to her. I saw her, and wanted to give her a home, a life, a personality and self-being. I knew I just had to try for her, and I would hope for the best in the end, knowing I would have an amazing first rune dragon if I won her.
Story:On November 31, Halloween, a student came to my school with a gun threatening to kill someone. I wasn't frightened, and thought if he came near me I would be able to protect my friends and myself; until I had the dream that I did last night. I was a coward, and I was the one being saved. I risked my life for them and stood up to a man with a gun, taking away his weapon and throwing out a window, but then I became very scared and jumped out the window onto the roof below me, running for help, my cousin and brother. This dream inspired my story for my entry, and I hope you like it, because it's a pretty big chunk of my heart.
I slowly pulled my arms close to my body, closing my eyes and straitening out my body. The faster you're moving, the more fun free-falling will be. I opened my eyes again, safe from small flying objects because of my goggles. I suddenly lost control of my right arm and it flew out, sending me flying right. Lilac, my telekinetic jewel mane dragon, saw me in distress and began to dive from above me to catch me early. I suddenly felt something hit my right hand really hard, and I jerked back. I was just about to land on Lilac's back when I saw a glint out of the corner of my eye. I did a double-take. A tiny pink jewel mane dragon was falling through the air a few yards away from me, she clearly had broken a wing. I was just about to land on Lilac when I realised I had hurt the little dragon, and she wasn't going to make it when she hit the ground. I tucked in my arms and dove left, jetting past Lilac towards the little dragon. "Blair!!!!" Lilac's voice cracked as she let out a pitiful scream for me, but I kept going, strait towards the little rune. She came into reach and I quickly grabbed her, pulling her tightly against my chest. I suddenly landed on my stomach on Lilac, and it knocked the wind out of me. I couldn't breathe, and blacked out from lack of oxygen.
I awoke, gasping for air, and frantically looked around. I quickly realized I was in my house, and sat back down. I figured I had been dreaming, my nights were becoming way too real for me. I put my head in my hands and began a silent cry. I couldn't take the dreams anymore, I had to get away. Suddenly Lilac burst into the door, looking frantic. "What's wrong?!" She ran over to me, looking me over for injuries. "I felt your aura flare, and I knew something was wrong." I managed a weak smile and wiped the tears from my face. "It's nothing, I'm fine, I was only dreaming." The rest of my family was trickling in one by one, coming to see if I was alright. I got together the strength to stand and walked over to the couch, plopping down on the end. I wrapped my arms around my torso, trying to hold my whole self together.
My best and worst day, it's always that day. I began slow, steady breathing techniques, trying to be as slow and even as possible. I closed my eyes and tried to think about something other than my dream. The image of the little rune falling suddenly flashed into my mind, and I gripped my chest, hoping my heart hasn't been ripped out. I opened my eyes in time to see everyone inside, looking at me in worry. I felt something on my leg, and looked down. On my lap sat Aurora, my little rune dragon. She looked up to me, using her expressions to ask what was wrong. I simply braved up a smile and gently rubbed her head, knowing that had happened long ago and that my baby was fine.
