Mekah shook her fur and looked at a redish leaf falling from a tree above.

Dusk shot forwards, running up towards the doe and Cody. Dusk lunged for her side, driving her away from the herd before going around her again, taking a slash at her hindquarters. The doe faltered for a moment before she tried to rear up. Dusk snarled, ears against his head as he snapped at the lithe front legs of the deer.

Mekah heard some noise and rustling coming from the other side and crept behind the bush. She peered out, seeing Dusk and the doe, she watched intently.

Dusk growled and went for the throat the moment the doe was on the ground. Blood splashed against his chest and he stepped back, licking his chops clean. "Nice job." He said, catching his breath a bit as he studied the dead doe.

She quietly sat down, ears perked. She new eavesdropping was rude, but she couldn't will herself to move.

Dusk licked his chest clean, hating to get blood on himself. Once he was semi-clean, his head turned towards the doe in front of him. Dusk's stomach grumbled loudly, making the alpha jump a bit. "Stop it." He mumbled and grabbed the doe by the neck, leaning his weight back to drag it.

She shrunk back into the undergrowth, breathe rigid.

Dusk's head suddenly lifted, nose twitching. When he was right next to the doe, he couldn't smell it..till now. Turning around he looked into the undergrowth, ears back. "Come on out." He said, sniffing again.
