Bronte heard two other wolves talking. She crouched low and hid in the bushes.

Howler snarled in surprise and rolled over, knocking the wolf on top of him over. he jumped to his feet. When he saw it was emerald he smirked.

Emerald laughed. "Defensive much?" She smiled.

Howler gave a little grin.

"News?" She said, tilting her head. "Seems the news round has passed me, what is going on?" She flicked her tail in a sign of interest.

bronte bared her fangs but stayed hidden. She wanted to know what they were saying.

Emerald stood up and shook out her fur. She smiled ay Howler. *in valley girl voice* "Ew you got my perfect white coat all dirty." She laughed.

Goldpaw sighed. "Supposedly we are joining with the Blazing Moonlight pack. Neither side quite likes the idea, and everyone is stressed."

Howler rolled his eyes and kicked mud on her.

Goldpaw flinched as she heard the tiniest growl. She flared her nostrils, trying to detect its source. But the wind wasn't in her favor. "We know you are there," she said lowly, hoping it wouldn't end up hostile. "Come out."
