Shard was just waking up from his small nap. He lifted his head and got up, stretching and yawning. The brute padded towards the mouth of his den, and exited. The ground changed from rock to dirt, and felt soft and crumbly under his paws. He walked into the middle of pack camp and sat for awhile, keeping watch of his pack. The smell of fresh kill hung in the air, along with the scent of Shadow. Shard smiled to himself, at least they had some food.

The she-wolf's eyes grazed over the land, a pack's camp was near and she couldn't help but let out a shudder and a rough chuckle. 'Packs...nothing but disgrace.' Brows rising at the sign of the alpha male, Mirror let out a short distant howl, letting her tongue loll out and lick her moist lips, canines bared although she was well hidden from pack-wolves. The rabbit's scent was awake, and blood leaked onto the stems of wet - foamy grass.

Shard lifted his head at a sudden howl of a lone wolf. It sounded nearby, but the source was hidden. He licked his lips, as a scent of fresh kill wafted over from somewhere. He stepped onto a smooth boulder, keeping an eye on his surroundings. Loners were mysterious, they could be anywhere.

The loner smirked, her gaze distant as one paw took a step forwards. "I wouldn't worry about me, wolf." Her jaws pulled back in a slight smirk at the confused look the alpha had worn. Leaping from the bushes, her muscles flexed, if this wolf would attack, then she was ready for it - 'Where's the rest of the pack?' her mind buzzed, a baffled expression growing over her tense one. "Not very lively..." Mirror murmured dully, all signs of threat gone.

Shard snarled as there was a sudden shape that leaped from the undergrowth. He crouched, not letting this wolf deceive him. Many brutes were gentle on feas, but he wasn't going to do that. He had a territory to protect, and that meant all trespassing wolves. He crouched low.

The she-wolf let out a low growl, but stood her ground. "I am not a threat to your pack." Mirror in honesty was too weak to fight a healthy, bigger sized wolf. Her rib-cage showed in lack of food, fur matted and eyes droopy with tire. Dropping her challenging gaze she padded to the side, dragging the rabbit out of the shrubbery in an offering towards him and his pack. "It's not much, the rabbit. But I would like to join you."

Shard quietened his growl, slowly stopping. He straightened up and thought. The fea did appear weak and tired, so he agreed.
