Ariana looked up cocking her head at the new pair that had appeared, "Why hello." She said, catching Cai as he fell akwardly off her shoulder again. Kangaroos really weren't meant to perch like birds on people. "Who are you?" She asked, holding out a hand in greeting. "I assume you were on the cruise since you are here now."
She was startled when suddenly another girl showed up, knocking the man forward and causing him to drop his guardian. "Cai, is that Izuzu?" She muttered as the man started to tell off the girl, only to realize that she was younger, probably just getting out of high school.

Shaking his head, Cai frowned, "No, that's not Izuzu. He's a polecat." When Ariana nodded in understanding, Cai leaped to the ground and wandered over to where Silas was. "I see you found your companion as well." He grinned, tucking his wings in against his back and using his tail to hold himself up. "That's good."

When the man turned back toward her, Ariana smiled again, "As I was saying," She paused and turned her eyes on the girl, "perhaps we should all introduce ourselves."

Before Vlad could respond, Silas turned his attention to the kangaroo and hopped in front of it. "Caioni! Hmmhmm! And he's nice, he sure is! Mister Vlad holds me and plays with me!" Vlad couldn't help but think, I do...? Silas crouched on the floor, his tail to the sky. "Look, my wings are finally coming!" exclaimed the young cat.
"Wait!" shouted Vlad. "I thought you were a ser...val. What's a polecat? Urgh, I'm no good in geology or whatever..." he said, his voice lowered. Hearing this, Silas gave him an awkward glance and tilted his head, a brow raised. She shook his head and didn't bother to answer.
Silas returned to the subject of his wings. "Caioni, look at 'em!" he squealed, his small toddler wings wiggling between his shoulder blades. He couldn't fly or hover yet but her could just barely glide. Barely. That must have been what cause Silas to stop for a second in the air before landing on his feet, Vlad figured. He cocked his head, looking at the other girl now. He extended a hand out to her. "My name's Vladimir. But I prefer you call me Vlad. Yeah I was on the ship...still am," he laughed. "And you are miss...?"

Cai flew up in front of Vlad quickly, "No, Izuzu is a polecat! I can't find him and he's probably freaking out by now." Just as quickly as he had stopped in front of Vlad, he was back on the ground talking to Silas, "Really!? Ariana is alright, she makes sure I don't fall, but she hasn't played with me. Of course, I probably wouldn't let her anyway, I don't like being played with most of the time." He nodded at Silas's wings, "Nice wings! I bet they'll be wonderful when they grow out the rest of the way."

Ariana took his hand, "I'm Ariana. And that's Caioni as you might have guessed. He's a bit strange at first, but he's the smartest kangaroo I've ever seen. He sure knows his stuff." She shrugged, "Anyway, it's good to meet you Vlad."

He smiled kindly at her, appreciating that she wasn't as obnoxious as the other guardians. At least this one isn't too wild.... he thought, blushing inwardly at the crude thought that had entered his head.

Roshon stared at the girl, the thought coming to her mind for the first time. What were her family and friends thinking about the cruise's mysterious dissappearance into the Bermuda Triangle? Her thoughts wandered to her life on Earth, hands dancing over those ivory keys to create beautiful flowing melodies. An awkward silence briefly filled the little clearing they were in, only birdsong in the background keeping it from being soundless.

Finally, the thought crossed her mind that she didn't miss her 'old life'. Each day was full of stress and pressure that her family placed on her, especially before a concert. No wonder she had taken that cruise. No, Roshon did not miss that old life at all. All of a sudden, she almost felt like laughing out loud, the thought that she no longer had to perform under tremendous amounts of pressure seeming like a lift of a heavy burden from her shoulders. She caught herself before the feeling actually performed itself and she rested those feelings by giving a small smile, head swiming in a torrent of different emotions.

"Are you okay, Roshon?" Felzir asked his human companion in that fiery speech, giving her a queer look of questioning. She seemed to be supressing a smile in such an out of place moment....At that moment, he would have loved to have been able to read her mind then. Instead, he compensated by flying up to her shoulder and clamping onto her shoulder with those thorn-like claws, a frown covering his face.

((If Isabelle were speaking French, her sentence wouldn't be "Que fais-je?" Instead it would be "Qu'est-ce je fais?" if she were talking about her current situation or "Qu'est-ce je vais faire?" if she were talking about what she's going to do. Just keep that in mind before posting random things ))

(I thought since its a question, you would change it? Ah well, I was about to put 'Qu'est-ce je vais faire', but then I thought that it wasn't right...)

Isabelle collected herself and looked up at Vlad. She frowned, muttering an apology. She didn't speak for quite a while, until Angel piped up, saying "I'm a Margay... Quite like a Serval, and we are easily confused as different species. I'm Angel, and this is..." She looked up at Isabelle to finish her sentence.

Isabelle scowled, and looked back at Vlad, saying "Isabelle." She considered walking away, but she knew that her guardian would get mad. More like babysitter... She thought, rolling her eyes. She looked down at her feet, and decided that if she was going to have to talk to this deadbeat, she'd better get it over with "What is your name?"

Angel smiled This is going to be hard... But at least its working... So far... Angel was proud of herself for getting her charge to speak with another human, but she wouldn't let the pride go to her head. She knew that it wouldn't last for long, and there was still much work for her to do with this odd human. Very odd indeed... I wonder why she was on this ship in the first place... She isn't social, so it couldn't have been for vacation.... And she wasn't with anyone.... Running away, perhaps?

Harmony popped her head out of Jack's pocket, yawning as she did so. "Hiya Pepper, Felzir, and Genevieve!" The rat nodded to each in turn and then flew up to land on Jack's shoulder, rubbing her face against his cheek as she did so. "Jack! It looks like you found the others!" she exclaimed. The small rat knew that Earth had been brought up, but she didn't want to talk about that, not yet at least.

Jack had been lost in thought all this time, thinking about the whole life he had ahead of him back home. My parents, my siblings... My basketball scholarship... Is all that gone to waste? Am I going to be forced to live the rest of my life here? In this God-forsaken dimension? I knew the cruise was a bad idea... He tried to keep his face straight as he thought about all of this. To tell you the truth, Jack was very, very scared of Nyseria. Sure, he had a gaurdian to protect him, and he wasn't the only one in this situation, but he just wanted to go back home. Sighing, Jack decided that he would do whatever it took to get back to Earth, even if it meant being social and befriending all of the other animals and people. Somehow, someway, he would get the information he needed to go back. Nodding to himself slightly in resolution, he looked towards the others. "So, uhh..." he said, "Anyone else as hungry as I am?"

Silas showed a proud grin and wiggled his wings a little more before rolling his shoulders back and turning to Vlad just as he was answering Isabelle's question. "Boy," he heard Vlad say, "you're not enjoying this are 'ya?" Vlad chuckled, reaching down to scoop Silas into his arms. The serval began to purr rather loud, scaring Vlad for a moment. He regained himself, stroked Silas down his neck and said, "Name's Vlad." He turned to Isabelle again, hand extended. "Nice to meet you--"
"Margay!" Silas shouted from Vlad's arms. Having been given a puzzled expression from Vlad, Silas explained. "Lotssa wild cats on the island. I'm happy."
Vlad laughed, taking his extended arm back and scratched Silas behind his ears. "Haha, well I'm glad then," he cooed. Silas' purring grew louder.

Alice took a deep breath. "What's going to happen to my mom?" she asked Genevieve so low the fox had to strain to hear. Genevieve put on a sympathetic smile, touching her nose to Alice's wet jeans. She stretched her body up, front paws against Alice's leg, her eyes showing a glisten in them. Alice smirked, looking down at her and reaching to pick her up.
"Just don't think about it sweetie," Genevieve's soothing voice said softly only Alice could hear. She stretched her neck up and licked Alice's cheek, who moved her head back a bit.
Alice laughed. "I'm getting advise from a fox."
"But a fox you can trust," said Genevieve. Hearing this, Alice rolled her eyes, smiling, and then nodded. She took Genevieve and lifted her to her shoulder. The fox slumped her body on her shoulder so she wouldn't have to worry about balance or falling. Feeling Alice's hand to her back, Genevieve sat up, sure that Alice wouldn't let her fall

"So, have any of you found a place to sleep?" Alice asked the others, her hand stroking down Genevieve's back. That should be our first priority... she thought.

Damien shifted uncomfortably on his feet, seeing that the other guardians were getting along with their partners. "Uh..." Damien began, but Pepper interrupted, "Place to sleep, eat, drink, bathe, these must be found." he nodded, "But lazy human does not explore." Pepper glared at Damien. He sighed and slunk down against the tree, wishing that he could disappear. "No... I don't know where to find food or where we're going to sleep." he grumbled, half to himself.

"Maybe we should join with the others," Roshon suggested quietly, her voice like a soft whisper in the wind. Felzir stirred at the suggestion, considering it.

"That is a good idea. We met with Caioni a while ago and if we are all together it will be easier to find an answer to our problems," he nodded, playing with the idea in his head. Already the sun was sinking on this strange place, giving into the darkness that was painting over the sky. "We better hurry," he added, checking the sky uncertainly.

Isabelle stared at Vlad's extended hand uncomfortably. Isabelle uncrossed her arms and shook Vlad's hand with, her skin clammy. She let go, and said "Nice to... Er... Met you, Vlad."

The Margay at Isabelle's feet smiled approvingly. She dipped her head to Silas and said "Nice to see you, Silas. I am glad to speak with you again... Are you doing well with your charge? He seems decent." Angel glanced at Vlad and smiled "Mine is a bit.... Lets just say she doesn't talk much... This is a breakthrough!"

Isabelle glanced down at her guardian with a frown. She looked back up at Vlad and then back down at her feet, kicking at a piece of rubble. Why am I doing this? I.... I never........ Talk. She pulled out her switchblade, glancing back up at Vlad. "I'm glad I brought this... It'll probably... Do me some good...." She smiled slyly, slipping it back into her pocket.

Angel rolled her eyes at her young charge "She is quite odd..." The margay mumbled.
