"Oh. Um, well, yesterday i...i lost my fourth litter of pups....Just like the last three..... But just a few moments ago, i felt something move inside my belly.I think it's a surviving pup, and if it is, I-i would like to know how healthy it is, or if it is just going to die like the rest of them have." She finished the last part of her sentance in a rush, trying to get the words out as fast as she could. She was on the verge of breaking down.

Marrow nodded. "You're going to have to allow me to do this so be extremely still." Marrow started massaging Akira's belly with her forepaws.

Akira's ears flattened. She held still, but it was clear she was very uncomfortable. She let out a quiet wimper.

Akira closed her eyes, trying to keep from jumping away from her paw. It hurt

Marrow let her paw up and held her ear to Akira's belly.

Akira let out a sigh. Then she flicked up her ears and watched the Dreamer put her ear to Akira's belly. Akira held her breath, trying to be a quiet as she could. Then she gasped as she felt a sharp movement in her belly. "Ow!"

Akira sucked in a breath as the Dreamer pressed her paw to her belly again, and then flinched as a lump pressed out of her belly and against the Dreamers paw. She quietly whined again.
