Khamari padded up to the rest of the pack, having been sniffing around for food or anything else. He himself had eaten a mushroom, it was squishy and tasted bad, but food was food as far as he was concerned. He listened to the others for a moment, getting caught up on what was going on. Anwell was missing, Chee went to find him. Hmm...
Khamari sat down with a slight grunt, his tail swishing in the soft dirt, waiting. He lifted his nose and sniffed the air, glad he'd missed the demon bear encounter. He liked to outwit demons, getting splattered with their blood was a fear of his. He would remain pure so long as he kept off the stuff, or so he'd once heard. His thoughts drifted and he wondered if Anwell had found something, maybe Demon was right, maybe a fighter should have been sent with Chee.
He glanced at Ayet, not daring to voice these thoughts as Demon had done. He'd always been more submissive anyway, suddenly deciding to go all commando just wouldn't be in his nature.
"I hope they're alright." He said, tongue lolling as his thoughts drifted again, this time back towards food.

Ayet looked back at the female, and a grin crossed his face. "Hello. You can call me Ayet, you know." He said, still walking for the clearing. They were just about there, when he heard Cassandra mention a wolf in the forest. He stopped, and sniffed. "Hmm... A lone wolf. I can barely smell him. Yes, I suppose that's a bit odd." He said, looking around now for the wolf.

"Oh, okay.."Timid Dart whispered. She perked her ears, confused."But...that's dangerous. No one would dare to go out be themselves, let alone live without any companions.."The wolf had to admit, only a wolf with physcological problems and blind senses would go without realizing the danger. Dart shrugged and looked at the sky. Black, as always. She had to give up on her silly hopes that the sun would return by itself. Sighing, she thought about Demon for a moment. It came across her mind in a casual fashion, Is he one of them?

Luna's pawsteps were quiet and alone. The white fea almost always ran separately from the pack, so everyone was used to there being minus one Luna. However, Luna was never far away from the pack. This time she was traveleing closer to the pack, more towards the front. She wanted to be near in case of an attack or something happened. She heard Chee's voice call; saying that Anwell was missing, and before Luna could volunteer, Chee bound off to find him. Luna made a quick decision. Following them would ensure their safety. Quickly, traveling unseen by the cover of the trees, Luna followed Chee's scent trail. When she found them, Anwell on Chee's shoulder, she remained quiet and stayed hidden, not wanting to interupt.

"Me too..." August replied quietly to Khamari's statement. More than anything she just wished that the pack would be able to stay together, and realize how vital it was for them to learn to trust each other. The further apart everyone was, the easier it would be for Death to overcome them. Yes, although it would take time, once the wolves started acting in unison, they would have the advantage over Death, and be able to help Sun. August's forehead furrowed as she thought everything out, and she looked up to see whether they were back yet or not.

Toko shifted from foot to foot as he waited for Chee to come back with Anwell. He had heard Anwell talking to himself, and Toko wished he had replied, if only to keep the wolf from getting lost in his thoughts. "I'm going after them," he said to Ayet, bounding away in the direction they had come from. Imagine his surprise when he bumped into Luna and sent the two of them sprawling in front of Anwell and Chee. Sheepishly, he stood up, giving himself a shake before looking Anwell up and down. "You okay?" he asked.

Suddenly, Luna was shoved out of her hiding place and tumbled in front of Chee and Anwell. Suprised, Luna leapt to her paws, her muscles tense, ready to defend herself from the attacker. Instead of a demon, she saw Toko. Her muscles relaxed and dropped. She didn't feel any anger towards Toko or embarrassment. Instead, she just paused to look at them and trotted forwards. A good ten some feet away, she turned her head and looked back at them, as if to say, 'Are you coming or not?', and then turned her head back, faithfully resuming her trot.

Rain limped heavily but went as fast as he could panting and frequently looking back. He heard no sounds but he still felt something watching him. Rain winced as his paw touched the ground. Adrenaline was surging through his veins and kept away most of the pain but for how long? Suddenly, he caught wind of many wolves and tried to run toward them. Bad idea. The mountain lion that had attacked him and was stalking him snarled and lept for Rain. Hackles raised, Rain swiveled around and protected his neck. The puma grabbed him on the shoulder and flung him into the bushes. Rain crashed against a tree feeling a rib or two crack. He yelped weakly as the puma stood over him...

August pricked her ears and turned back, realizing that the limping steps she had heard had faded away. Not telling anyone where she was headed, she turned around and weaved through the back, using her nose to figure out where the limping wolf was at. She veered left and found a wolf struggling beneath a mountain lion. Snarling, August dashed forward, bowling the demon over. She aimed for its back legs, biting at the joints to weaken it's movement. The puma grabbed a hold of her front leg but the fighter didn't care: this gave her the chance she was looking for. Twisting, she bit into the demon's leg, feeling it's life drain. She held on even after it collapsed, to be sure that it had died. She looked up from it and looked over at Rain, certainely looking crazy with her bleeding leg and the frenzied eyes she always got when fighting. "Are you okay?" she asked.

Rain whimpered. I must look so lame right now... he thought. He tried to stand up, but yelped in pain. "My rib...i think it's broken..." Rain panted heavily. It was all that he could manage to say at this point. Darkness crept into the corner of Rain's eyes and he let it over come him, blacking out.

"Oh great," August muttered, getting beside Rain and trying to figure out what to do. After circling him a few times, she bent down, wincing as she did so and put her head under his armpit, weasling herself beneath him. It took some time, but August finally managed to get Rain balanced on top of her. Grunting, she ran back towards the rest of the pack, ignoring her aching leg and praying that she'd be able to catch up. "Heeeeellllp!" she faintly called, hoping they'd hear her.
