Beats me, I don't have a test kit o3o. Might try to get one tomorrow, but I doubt that my seller would have it. Not many people in my area are "Pro Fishkeepers", so I'm guessing that since what most people in my area are they type that want something nice done quick and cheap, my guess is that they get tap/well water and dump the fish in a small tank, without accliminating it in any way. And a test kit, I doubt anybody ever heard one a thing. Buying one online seems virtually impossible, considering the high shipping and taxes.. I'm starting to sound like an adult x.x

You can also take a sample of your water to a pet shop in a glass container(plastic will mess up the results) and they will sample it for free.
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: under 20
Ph: Should be over 7.0 or 7.2, my ph is 8.0 even though this is high its better to leave it as it is since they adapt to different Phs well and would stress them out if they had a changing Ph. But if you have a high Ph like me you need to be more careful of your ammonia, nitrate and nitrite. They will be more toxic in a higher Ph.

The liquid test kit is actually very standard. Even Walmart uses them for their tanks where I live.
What is "Pro fish keeping" is having a computer monitor your chemical levels and send you a txt message or email when something goes wrong. Quite a few aquariums use that way. Gosh how I would love that. <3

And I would die if I got two of them for my birthday x3

Pro fishkeeping.. In my sense that would be able to keep a fish in optimum conditions, it to be at a ripe age to die.. Cos wherever I go they always seem to over crowd a tank. I think it was 10 or so shubunkins in a.. 40g?

Woah.. I just remembered.. I was on the way to school when I saw this beautiful silver arowana in a tank too small, like say it was 18" long, the tank would only be 20"! And it was kept like half full.. I feel so sorry for it.

My friend has a 75 gallon tank. A filter for a 20 gallon tank, 4 Shubukins and 3 fancies. She rarely cleaned it when she took care of it. Now that she is off with her husband trucking, her mom takes "care" or it. They only top it off and that is only every 3 months.... I went over a few days ago and the tank was half full and you couldn't even see the fish because the water was so murky. They only "clean" it when she comes home. :(

I think I remember that. You came on fish lovers then right?

I have to QT Dottie. It saddens me since this is the first time she has been sick. She has been bottom siting and weird red dots on her belly keep popping up then going away. Salt and metro meds!! Not that big of deal but it stinks. Right when one fish gets better another one gets sick it seems. I'm not sure if its from the terrible breeding stock here or from the cycle bump that just went away. I blame both. The fact that I'm a worry wart does not help either.... XD

Yes! The halfmoon male I'm getting has a matching sister. Imma get her too! Now I just have to send payment as soon as their breeder lets me know how much the female will be. Then I just have to wait until probably Tuesday to get them!

I went to Walmart to pick up some bread, and was tempted to look at their fish. Their poor common goldfish were infested with parasites! They had worms, fungus, and others that I wasn't quite sure of. Urg, Walmart should not be in charge of fish. Their bettas, kept in cups like most stores, were way over fed. They were bloated and looked miserable. I believe Walmart should stick to non-living things. .-.
