Well, since a lot of people like my last pet pair (Thanks! :3), I decided to do another one.

I liked the transition between the colors on the both of them. Yet, again, story coming. :3

Masozi ---------- and ---------- Pastel

~February 3rd, 1502~
I have been told all my life that love is a mortal's toy. If this is true, then why does my heart quicken when I see the moonlight reflect from her pale eyes? And why do I feel as if all is right when I hear her gentle pawsteps on the tile of the halls? I am a pheonix, a child of the eternal flame, she is merely life for a short time, one who Death will claim one day. I can have no relation to those clad in rags of slavery, who's chain is held by mortal bounds, for it spells death for the immortal. Would I really give this gift of life for her? Though I may say I would not, my heart shall still argue. But, she is disturbed by me, I hate to admit it, but perhaps I am too much. My kind has been known to feast on hers, but not I, I preffer creatures with scales. Scales add a delicious crunch- Argh! Why must my accursed brain always stray to food and fights? I shall be thinking of my father the Sun and suddenly turn to fantasies of ripping flesh! I can never convince her I can be gentle if I cannot convince myself. What is wrong with me! Curse these soul-less black eyes, this heart of fire, these thoughts of hate! Father Sun destroy me now! She thinks me a fate worse than death!
Wait! She approaches, is that not her soft breathing echoing through the silent corridors? Yes, there is her delicately swirled pelt of mint.

Masozi shut the journal and slid it beneath the book shelf as his sensitive ears picked up noise in the marble hallways. Scarcely a moment had passed since he'd heard her than had an unhappy face appeared silouetted in the arched golden doorway,
"Master Masozi, do you need anything?" her voice was thick with discomfort and she shied away from the entry as soon as he stood. This, of course, troubled the pheonix dog which, in turn, disturbed him more when he found that he was troubled by her. He slowly shook his head and she turned to leave with out waiting for him to speak. Masozi bounded to the door and looked after her pale figure, which had now broken into a run,
"Wait! Please, come back here!" the mortal dog skidded to a halt and if he could have seen her clenching her teeth with her eyes shut tight in fustration he would have been quite upset. Of course, he did not see this, and a strained smile was upon her face as she slowly made her way back to him,
"Yes Master Masozi." Her snarled question came through with a fake, warped grin and a set of narrowed pink eyes
"Sit with me please Pastel. And please do not call me master, you are my father's slave, not mine." He seated himself upon a woven mat and gestured to the place beside him with a paw. She did not sit, instead Pastel backed towards the door, a real grin upon her face,
"Well, dear Masozi, as you have just said yourself, I am not your servant. I take no orders from you." Masozi jumped from his seat, a desperate look on his face,
"Please, it is not an order! Just sit, it is all I ask!" his pitch black eyes would have shone with a pleading if they could have.
"Acctually, I think I'll go take a break on the other side of the palace." His heart fell as she gave her reply with sly smile before turning and bounding off down the hall.
