Dusk returned the nod before he trotted back to camp, wanting to make the announcement to the pack for himself. As he neared the camp, he stopped and looked up at the darkening sky. "Hope this is the right choice." He muttered, ears going back before he continued on his way.

[growl]

"Er, I'm right here." Vesper raised her tail slightly from where she was. Dusk must not have noticed her. "Are we really joining the packs?" she asked him, her wide eyes orange stones in a sea of russet fur. Questions flooded her conscience. Would Rookie remain Beta? Would she somehow lose her rank? Would they have to abandon their old dens?

Dusk whirled around, seeing Vesper behind him. "Oh, it's you." He said before sighing. "Yes, we are joining the packs. We wouldn't make it through the winter without a substantial food source, and it keeps the violence down." He said hopfully, his head raising up. "We are finding a new camp right now, so how about you and Cody go scout around to see what you can find to give to Hail's pack. He was the one who agreed after all..."

[growl]

"You mean hunt?" Vesper asked. "Alright, I'll go find Cody. I'm pretty sure he's out hunting somewhere..." She sniffed the ground, searching for a trace of the pack's only hunter.

Dusk nodded once before he went back to his den to lay down for a much needed nap.

Rookie walked up to the stream and nodded towards the brute on the other side. "Where do you suggest we go?" She asked him curiously. Perhaps he already knew where a good place was...

"I suggest we follow the stream." Meta said as he started to walk away on his side of the stream, Rookie following on her side. "And see what we find." He added.

Dusk yawned and lay down in his den, curling up into a sandy ball of fur. He sighed and let his eyes close, sleep wrapping him in a soft blanket.

Hailstorm sat at the crest of a low hill, staring into the distance. He wondered how everything was going to work, how many lives might be lost, and trusts broken. And how much trust gained. It was hard to lead a pack in these times, especially when everyone before you ruined everything put into the wolves. Especially when you were alone.

Mekah yawned and stretched. She stepped into the sunlight, and glanced around, wondering what everyone was up to.
