Hailstorm frowned, but didn't press the matter. "I've decided to accept your offer." Somehow embarrassed, the alpha looked around instead of at the rival alpha.

This, oh but this hit Dusk full on. "Y-you what?" He asked, head drawn back a bit. Dusk had expected a few terse words, maybe a few snarls, but this...this wasn't what he thought was going to happen. Dusk's ruff went back down to his shoulders, still in light shock. We're joining the packs..!

Hailstorm swallowed and looked at him again. "So how are we going to do this?"

[growl]

Vesper started when she heard a throaty howl that was very close to where she was wading in the stream. Stepping out, she shook the water from her legs and carefully threaded her way toward what was clearly the Blazing pack. She rubbed against an elderberry bush, fervently hoping the strong and pungent scent of the leaves would mask her own, then slipped around a bend in the path and peeked out from behind a thick oak. She walked out tentatively and stood a little behind Hailstorm.

Sauver stopped and pricked his ears. He ran back to the dens, panting. Had everyone left yet?

Dusk shrugged a bit. "To be honest, I have no idea..." He flicked an ear back. "We'll have to tell the packs first of all, then move camp someplace between the two, that way it's not so spread out." Dusk said before continuing. "Then there's the matter of ranks..." This is tougher than it seems...

Hailstorm snarled in impatience. "I know that! What about us?" He bristled stronger now, ever nerve within him tense.

[global.]

Dusk narrowed his eyes, his dusty grey coat rising. "What are you suggesting?" He growled deeply, his shoulders raising a tad as he glared at Hailstorm.

[Render]

((This is intense))

Hailstorm snarled louder. "And what are you suggesting?" His head was slightly lowered, but he wasn't yet threatening to attack.

Dusk growled, his fangs showing fully now. "I'm thinking you might want the alpha spot for yourself." He said, adding a sharp snarl at the end. "And I can't let that happen."

Goldpaw intervened...figuring it would probably be a good time to do so. "Stop being stupid, brutes!" she snarled, even surprised at herself. But she kept on going. "Both of you will the alphas of course. I'm sure it's been done before."
