Welcome Karma!, I think the witch outfit is darling I even dressed up my pet in it c:
I added bubbles to the cauldron just for the fun of it because most witches do make potions.

Comments of any sort?:
I have been Wiccan now going soon on three years.
From what my mother, grandmother and several other family
members have told me there has been no Wiccans in the family before
and a Majority is Atheist, Nordic-Pagan and Native.

I know a share of Wiccans near and far - I have not attended a
ritual per-say but I have gone to feasts on 2 occasions.
I was quite delighted to see this thread. :3

Welcome Sanity!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A little while ago there was an Indian woman (from India- not native American Indian) who walked past me, she looked at my chest and I knew she saw my pentacle necklace, but then she did something I can hardly describe, she made a sound that seemed somewhere between a hiss and a shush and walked away very quickly, also today I was in a waiting room for a doctor appointment, I looked over and these two parents with their young kids were staring at me- almost glaring, I had no where to go being stuck in that room so I just avoided looking their way, These kind of things never happened to me until I began wearing my necklace so I feel uncomfortable when I feel I'm making others uncomfortable.
I honestly don't know how to feel in these situations other than just move on in my life, I'm just afraid what would happen if some one confronted me about it in a negative way......
well anyways: have you had any bad experiences regarding your religion/ what were they??
Will I live in the bible belt so ever time I walk out my door I get looks from people.No matter where I go I get glares,strange looks,shocked looks, I get people rushing by me, people who stop and stare with their mouth open, Peolpe who whisper around while looking at me, and I've had a few people gasp.I think the ones that hurt most is the glares.
This is why I'm so scared of coming out of the broom-closet. some of the most important people in my life might not react well and they are people I can't afford to lose. My dad and my close friends know because I know they are level-headed and won't shun me for being Wiccan, but that doesn't mean they agree with it
Thank you for those who have welcomed me.
While still researching into being Wiccan I carried around several books
I read them most often on Public Transit and for a long time did not understand
why people were staring at me - it was when I started catching myself reading
in public the books that I realized people where looking at me because of it.
Now I do not get stared at, I have confronted many people in public and more
private (when not many people are around) about being Wiccan
Surprisingly enough I often get Yes more then I do No. I have also had encounters
with Wiccans simply walking down the street exchanging glances and feeling as
though the two of us are much a like.
I've only told my mom but she's still not fully accepting of.I'm still scared of how people will react to it but I know the goddess is with me and it's not as scary then.Though I worry about who is going to become president.
Well, it's been a while since I've posted in this forum -- I suppose I will rejoin the discussion, since there is no pagan thread. I hope you all have been well, and I wish a warm welcome to those of you who have joined. For those of you who don't know me, I'm not actually Wiccan but neo-pagan.
On the topic of public reaction -- I suppose you can say I "came out" as Non-Christian a long time before I became pagan. Living in the Bible Belt, I dealt with the repercussions then. Eventually when people realize you're serious, and no amount of "You're going to hell!" will convert you, they begin to leave you alone. So now that I'm officially pagan, it makes no difference to much of anyone.
