"Jasper, stop it!" Cara said frantically. "Stop it, stop! You're fine you're fine you're fine. Nothing's going to happen."

Jasper squeezed her hand before he went limp, and his breath stopped.

A strangled crying noise escaped Cara's throat, and her head dropped to his chest as she let the tears flow. "Jasper...Jasper Jasper Jasper..."

The medic sighed. "I'm sorry, Your Highness."

"Do something!" she yelled. "You can't just let him die!"

"Your Highness, there is nothing more I can do." The medic said.

Cara began to sob even more, looking down at Jasper's lifeless face. "He can't leave me," she whispered.

Jasper looked peaceful, a sense of release over him. "Your Highness, would you like me to tell your children?" The medic asked.

"No," Cara said, swallowing the lump in her throat. "No, I...I have to tell them."

Cara whimpered in her sleep, rolling over as a tear slipped down her cheek.
