Blackpaw smiled slightly, amber eyes glinting.

Maplepaw grinned and nudged him.

Blackpaw smiled and flicked his tail.

Maplepaw lay in her den, sighing. Suddenly she felt a tach wet beneath her, then Pain... Her water had broken!

Butterflight padded out of the nursery, and she sighed. She hoped that Maplepaw would have her kits soon, since Butterflight would be looking after her daughters kits.

Maplepaw grimaced and looked around, no awake apprentices, so she hobbled out, standing in the doorway. Hardly any cats were in camp so she idled slowly around the edge and ran out through a bush. She began sobbing and found a small cave and ran in, screeching in pain as the first kit began to come.

Butterflight saw Maplepaw, and she followed her daughter swiftly.

Maplepaw began panting heavily and yowled in pain,

Butterflight got to the cave and she rushed to her daughters side, stroking her flank with her tail.

Maplepaw looked up and smiled weakly then screeched again.
