-Sigh- Admins acting too 'Adult!'

Postby Evolia Redmoon » Sun May 09, 2010 9:41 am

" Is it me or are the admins everywere I go too strict and adult like? I can't even BEGIN how anoying it is when you go to make a post and an admin just HAPPENS to show up and start correcting you or telling you that the post is 'not on subject?' I've also seen a whole bunch of users starting to act all ADULT and crap, scolding other people and stuff.
"I'm not some sever bad-ass, but I just want to know if its just me or if anyone else notices this?!"

...You're mad at the mods for doing their job? |D;
They're supposed to be stern and keep you on track. Otherwise the forums would be a giant cluster of random, unorganized chatter. If you would like to talk aimlessly about anything and everything, you should probably look into a chat room, not a forum. :3

Better than having childish admins and mods.

Besides, they're all very nice and they do their jobs the way they should. If you don't like how they act, then stay on topic and don't break any rules. Then you won't have to hear from them.

-Sigh- "And here we go! Just another little slip of proof.
No, i'm not angry at Mods doing their job, I'm just ticked at all the 'Please do not do this again,' or 'Please move this,' or even 'You should probably look into a chat room, not a form if you want to talk aimlessly about something.' Jesus christ, couldn't admins or mods talk NORMALLY?! Like maybe, 'Oh hey, I agree completely with the -blah, blah, blah- But isn't this suppost to be...?' or yet, if a person is cussing constantly, someone could go , 'Pssh! Would you shut that kind of talk?! Even though we all ******* agree, that doesn't mean- blah blah-.'
See? Its a lot better to stoop down to our level than acting adult all the time. That's why admins and mods are hated so much."

"But see, we shouldn't HAVE to fear if we broke the rules or not. we shouldn't have to worry about this kind of crap. If we did break a rule, the admin can PM us a little note pointing it out and leave it at that. If the stupid fool keeps it up, than they ban them. Simple.
"And I'm not just saying C.S. Admins, -They are nicer than most,I'll admit- I also mean on other webs, like Pokecommunity and stuff."

*coughs* Mods and admins do "talk normally," and chat and all. ^_^ I can frequently be seen chatting on the forums, aside from doing my duties as a staff member.

The other mods and admins "talk normally" as well-- they just don't spend a lot of time doing so. Remember that some of the staff have full-time jobs, or are full-time students.

I understand the job thing, but that isn't an excuse. i have a job AND have to go to school, but I manage not to sound like a total dushe bag when I tell someone to leave me alone or correct something."

Just because we don't use ten thousand smilies in a post doesn't make us cold. >.< Were simply rational human beings. If a moderator or administrator posts something that seems cold to you, read it again, because it's probably not supposed to sound that way.

I'm not a mod- I'm an artist- but ok.
Ah, well, I'm sorry for the way I talk...? This is how I speak in reality- and I'm not an adult, either. I'm a sixteen year old kid, my dear. |3"
As Shadow said, we {the Staff} do chat normally as well. :3 I visit the CS Chat a lot, along with the General Chat, and yes, the 18+ Chat.

At least they say please, no? .-. Would you rather they yelled? If it needs to be moved, then it will be moved one way or the other. And if you're unhappy with the way the mods are doing their jobs, then you really don't have to say.

Alright, why do you have to call them names? Did you not even notice how nicely Shadow said that? There's even a smiley! -.-
I'd like to see you handle something nicely after you've repeated it 50 million times. It's really annoying after a while. And yes, having a job and full-time school is an excuse. I think you should think before you speak, because it can be really offensive talking to the people who run this community like that. And if it's bothering you so much that you must result to calling them names, then don't go on that website. Problem solved. Kthxbai.

You don't have to say it like that, most mods are only tired of dealing with the same stupid mistakes that people make over and over again. The rules are there for a reason, so is it really that hard to read them? Those mods that you don't like put work and time into something that no one can take the time to read or even glance at, so why do they have to be all happy and nice when someone breaks those rules? =(

Now I sound like a jerk. ><;
