Zane offered her a slightly nervous, tight-lipped smile, "I just wanted to see if you knew it to." He bluffed confidently - sure, being relatively new to his magic might mean that the members of Fairy Tail would give him a little slack, but lying about being a mage? Oh, the blonde wasn't incrediably certain that they'd forgive him for that.

(^^; Yep, that's right. He needs the money from missions and such, and has only had his magic for a little while, so he thinks that they'd kick him out of the guild for not having enough practice. Sorry it was confusing!)

The boy was never going to find who was sending him these telepathic messages because she was multi-tasking. And if he failed to find who it was, a most glorius punishment awaited him.
