Ellie Sat quietly and listened to her alpha. She silently stood and padded over to him, waiting for him to lead the way down the hill to look for more wolves. The journey up the hill was bad enough for her, she just hope it wasn't as trecherous down. She looked up and the sky with eyes like slits, almost glaring at the dark menacing clouds above. She looked back down and shook her pelt, clearing some of the mud off, leaving small patches of white fur.

Male || Alpha || Five Years Old || With Chet, Maleno, and Elanor

Cathal nodded and looked back at the trio that was to follow him. They were already muddy and drenched and no doubt freezing to their cores, as he was. The cold fall weather had moved in and managed to make the weather uncomfortable, especially with the rain drenching their pelts. "Let's go then," he said, smiling back at them. Cathal started down the hill at a slow pace, jumping here and there to find stable ground that wouldn't slide under his paws. Rain sloshed around his legs, and mud began to spatter his already filthy coat, making him look a dark brown instead of the tan he normally wore. Once, he slipped, sliding a couple of feet down the hill and catching himself on a large boulder that protruded from the hill, taking a deep breath and looking down the rest of the slope where a large pool of water was gathering. He had no idea how deep it was, as it was colored brown from the debris it had picked up along the way. He could only hope that the current wasn't strong enough to pull their bodies into the river. He glanced back up at the three wolves that had agreed to go with him, thinking mostly of Chet. The male was the weakest in the pack and would have twice as much trouble as any of them if the water was tough to get through. "Wait for me," he commanded before leaping the rest of the way down and making a large splash in the water.

Muddy paws followed after Cathal as he began to lead the way back down the hill. His smile sent a rush of warmth through her, though she knew he was just doing that to keep them from being concerned or scared. She gave just a hint of a smile, letting him get the idea that she was ok. The fact of the matter was, getting up that hill was hard enough, she knw getting down for her would be very scary. Slowly, she began to make her way down, letting her paws glide shakily over the puddles, slightly loosing her grip and slipping here and there. At one point she lost her footing completely and fell on her side. Eye's wide with embarassment, she quickly scrambled back up to her paws, finally making her way to the same boulder Cathal seemed to have found his barrings on. She nodded at his orders to stay. Her heart lurched as he lunged into the water, sending droplets across her muzzle. Who knew how deep the water was, and now she just watched her mighty alpha go striaght into the unknown

Obediently, Maleno began her careful trek down the hill full of traps. She could imagine herself or one of her fellow packmates slipping and tumbling down the hill, or falling into a sudden muddy hole and drowning. She pushed those thoughts away, not wanting nervousness to overcome her. Come on, I've done this tons of times. Its easy. She reassured herself, and dug her claws harder into the mud-covered ground. Maleno forced herself down the hill, keeping her face emotionless. Her eyes trained on the ground, watching for rocks or giant puddles to be avoided. Maleno's eyes flitted up when she heard a splash, and she watched the rest of Cathal leap into a large puddle of very murky water.

Male || Alpha || Five Years Old || Alone

The large brute disappeared completely into the murky water, feeling his body being tugged by the current. He pushed himself up out of the surface, taking a deep breath when his head appeared. While the water wasn't as strong here, it still attempted to drag him further away from the bank. His muscles worked hard to propel him through the muddy water, but soon he had reached the bank. He pulled himself up into the mud, feeling the ground giving way beneath his paws because it had become too saturated with water to remain stable. Quickly, he jumped to the side, watching as several chunks of ground splashed into the rainwater. He looked up at the three waiting wolves. "You can all make," he called back to them over the roar of the water. "Just try to jump as close to the bank as you feel comfortable with. If anything happens, I'll get you out." He wasn't too fond of the idea of them coming down here. It would be easy to lose a member of his pack he had worked so hard to keep, but if someone else was drowning in the river, he needed to get there as fast as possible. And this was nothing compared to what their main water source was going to be like.

{Certainly. A huge storm has come to the Canton territory, and it has flooded the river and surrounding area. The terrain is treacherous, and it's difficult to get to high ground, as there's so much water, it's washing it away. Cathal, Chet, Maleno, and Elanor have gone out in search of the missing wolves. Sylan is on higher ground and trying to wait out the storm.}
