If you had one shot, or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment.
Would you capture it? Or just let it slip?
New york city is one place were everyone can get away for the summer, and explore. It is one of the most visited places on the planet, and people come form all over the world to see it. But now, July and August have ended, and its back to school for the teenagers of New York. Some are excited to see there friends, and learn new things, while others are moaning about having to spend more time at a useless place. But most are thinking that things might be different this year, besides, they're seniors now.
Gossip, drama, hate, and maybe a little love. Everyone's expecting it, and nervous to see if this they'll find that 'special someone' they've been looking for for so long. But nothing's always as it seems, be careful to watch your back, you never who will turn on you. And most of all, make sure you don't lose yourself.
A high school in New York, and outside the school as well. Teenagers are searching for an occupation to save up money for college, or a summer vacation. They take classes, and try to enjoy the last of this life they have, until they move on to reality.

I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie, and I know it's probably not a good thing, but I guess I just like to feel like things aren't always in my control, you know? Anyways, girls seem to like it, but I'm not the best at conversations (selfish, self-centered -- me? Never!). I'm known to skip school on occasion, because frankly, I could care less, but as long as I'm with a good group of people, it's worth the slap on the wrist. I've been called crazy (and I've learned to take it as a compliment), but it's probably because I tend to do all the dares, pull all the stunts and pay all the consequences. I like cliff diving, wake boarding, and bungy jumping, but since they aren't the cheapest sports on the planet, it's not uncommon for me to be completely broke.
History:
When Xavier was two years old, his mom decided to go back to work, and his dad had never stopped, so he ended up spending most of his childhood with a variety of nannies and babysitters. Even at a young age Xavier knew these were all temporary replacements and, a rebel at the tender age of six, lashed out by constantly making as much trouble for the stand-ins as he possibly could. With a near constant rate of pranks, screaming, and general brattiness going on, no babysitter took a job twice, but after a while the stunts became fun as well as a way to get back at his parents for leaving him alone in the house all the time.
When Xavier was thirteen he took a dive off a twenty-foot cliff over a lake on a dare, and found the rush to be addicting. It became his drug, and found that anything adrenaline-inducing could temporarily block that empty space his absent parents had left. As a remnant of his endless war against the authority figure of the household, he also didn't take kindly to teachers (or any kind of person in a position of power for that matter).
He discovered in high school that being "dangerous" was a turn on for girls, so he began to get some attention, but his with all the different things he did outside school, it didn't take long for him to be labeled as self-centered and vain. Xavier also tends to brag.
As for grades, he does alright (except in math, his worth subject easily). He'd do better if he put in more time, did more homework and attended more classes, but Xavier has a lazy streak that loves to show up during academic activities.

American

Personality:
Jack is a hopeless romantic. His blue eyes and blonde hair are a big attraction when it comes to teenagers – of both sexes –. He’s always choosing the wrong girl, or thinking that she’s the one. But his relationships all end in the first few weeks anyway. In fact his previous fling had lasted only three days. Jack was devastated when it had ended; he had truly believed he had loved her, and she had loved him. But when the time came, she found him to be too clingy, and dumped him quite harshly. But it happens, and its hard on him. But it doesn’t take Jack long to get over her, and try out another.
Although Jack isn’t very good at romance, he loves to go to parties. Which is usually where all his relationships start. Of course, he tends to get drunk, but he has found it smart to stay away from drugs. He has learned that the hard way from his past, and Jack never wants to go down that road again. Although, he does enjoy the other habit. When drunk, Jack tends to go slightly… crazy. Flirting with every girl in sight, or taking off his clothes, eating too much or too little. But instead of making him feel embarrassed about this, people find it amusing, and cheer it on when it happens. He figured that no one seems to mind what happens, so he isn’t careful about how much he drinks.
Jack has never been afraid of much, just two things. Drugs, and blood. Yes, he’s afraid of blood. The sight of it makes him jump, and he’ll have to leave the room, or cover his eyes. He hates the smell, the view of it. He finds it a dreadful color of red, and the texture horrifying. Jack has now learned to keep away from it at all costs, and most of the time he does. But at one point in his life, Jack hopes to overcome his fear, and instead of running away, he wants to face it.
History:
Back when he was fifteen, Jack was a drug addict. Not just snorting cocaine every few days, he did it every day. And he didn’t take it easy, but luckily for him, the habit had only lasted a few months. Jack hated how it made him feel when he got high. He knew most people who snort coke enjoy the feeling it brings them, but he detested it, and he knew he always would. It didn’t taken him long to quit something he disliked, and after many weeks of therapy he quit. Jake had finally refused, and decided that he no longer wanted to live that way. His mother and father were extremely proud, though that started to fade when he started drinking.

OK, I'll admit. I have an extremely addictive personality... Which tends to get me in trouble. I love to try new things, yeah, I'm a risk taker. I'm not good under pressure, that's probably why I'm in this situation. I have friends. No, not just the druggies at our school. Real friends. I used to have a girlfriend, but drugs took her away. Just like they took everything away. I get invited to parties, I dance, laugh, then go out back and smoke. It really isn't that bad. but I can't get myself to focus on anything else. Of course, I can find my way into relationships, I'm not that hooked. God, now that I think about it, I wish I could quit. But it does calm me down... I mean, give me a break. My parents are divorced, and my only other solution was to be Emo, or, yeah just ignore it. But there was pain, a lot of it... Okay, yeah, I don't really need theses cigarettes anymore, since i no longer love my parents. I mean, they kicked me out of the house! What am I supposed to do? And now... I live in a apartment, just like everyone in New York. I hate it there. But I signed a lease, so I'm stuck.
History:
I was born on January first. This birthday might seem a bit strange at first, since it's New Years and everything, maybe that's why so many people missed my party in elementary school. Or, at least I hope that's the reason. Now that I think of it... I didn't have many friends back then. Middle school I was a loner as well. I'm pretty sure it's because I had just started smoking when I was... Ten? I can't remember now, it feels like so long... But anyway, I think if I had been nicer to one of the people who had -used- to be my friend. Instead of completely ignoring them, and snapping at them why they confronted me about it. I wasn't very smart. Not only in that situation, but in grades. I don't think I ever got an A in my life... That's a bad thing isn't it? Even ask my parents, they'll agree with you in a second. Speaking of them, I guess I should tell you why they kicked me out of the house when I was sixteen. Its quite simple actually, they found the drugs under my bed, and told me to quit, or take it somewhere else. What a day that was. Ever since then, I've been living in a crappy old apartment in New York but I'd take it any day over another minute spent at my old home. Did I mention I was born and brought up in New Jersey? Well I was. I've been attending this school for a while now, and it's not going to well. Okay, I think that's everything you have to know about me, right? Right.

None
Sexual Orientation:
Straight
Nationality:
American
Ethnicity:
Caucasian
Religion:
Christian
Personality:
Sam is extremely layed back, and relaxed. If a fight breaks out, he’ll try and stop it instead of joining in and causing more trouble. I guess you could call him, slightly hippie-ish; He plays the guitar, and sometimes sings along to it. People have told him that he could go very far if he puts in the effort. Though, he had had many opportunity’s when someone has offered him an occupation playing music, he has always refused, knowing that he only plays the guitar for amusement of himself and others. Anyway, he can be very polite when he wants to, and will never manipulate someone when he has the chance. But, maybe he’s too comfortable with his life; He doesn’t believe in blackmail, distrusting anyone, hate, or anything of the sort. Samuel prefers love, kindness, and instead of mocking someone when they’re upset, comfort them, and reassure them that everything’s okay.
As for sports, and social activities, Sam’s never been into them. He would always favor art over anything else. He loves painting, sculpting, and has even taken some acting classes, which he knew could have turned into something if he tried. He loves people, and is always encouraging and supporting when someone wants to try new things. Samuel is very hopeful in changing everyone’s mind about how they think about each other; he wishes they would think about the positive, and good side of others.
History:
Sam was brought of in an over populated home, with three brothers, and four sisters. Including his parents and himself, that’s nine people in a three-bedroom apartment; since he had so many siblings, they’re mother and father couldn’t afford a house. When he received the news, Samuel was extremely disappointed that he wouldn’t be getting his own room, especially since he was the oldest. But, instead he shared one with two of his youngest brothers. Well, at least he didn’t have to sleep on the couch like Julia, one of his closest sisters.
Sam was a troublesome child. If someone asked him a question, with out thinking, the answer would always be “No!”. He would have tantrums often, and after he had had them, Samuel would cry, and cry until he had no tears left. At first, his parents were surprised with his unusual behavior, and couldn’t figure out why he was acting this way. And they never did, though after a couple years he did grown out of it.
When he was fourteen, Sam’s world collapsed over top of him; his best friend, Conner Jones had gotten a serious concussion. He had been playing in the river, hopping from stone to stone, laughing happily as he made his way across. After a few minutes of this, Conner had decided it was time to go back. But by then, the stream had sped up as it started to rain, and he quickly grew fearful. In fact, he was so stressed, that he didn’t watch where he put his feet, and slipped. When he did, Conner his head on a rock, and never woke up. The doctors claimed he was in a coma, and to this day, he still sleeps and most believe he will never awaken. After that incident, Sam has learned not to take friends, and life for granted.
