The squirrel, startled by Spookkit's meow, bolted away. Wildheart turned to the kit. "Oh really," she said dryly.

[Puddles.]

SpookKit shrugs. "There's a mouse in that bush over there, and a pigeon plucking out a worm not far off. Plus, it's green leaf. It's not like we're starving."

Wildheart glared at him. "That's not the point. The point is that I was TRYING to catch prey for our Clan, and even if some of the prey is still there, they've been alerted to the presence of cats and that will make it much harder to sneak up on them - because of you. Besides, you shouldn't even be out of camp." Wildheart started suddenly. What in the name of StarClan? she thought - and she got a reply. I don't know! There was a voice in her head! Was she going crazy? She spun around, trying to see where it was coming from. Who are you? What's going on? How did you get inside my head?
This is really embarrassing, she heard in her head. Well, I'm not quite sure how I got in your mind, but I have a guess...and...and this is Dappleshade.
Wildheart was confused. But...I thought I knew what your power was. You could grow a second head...
You knew I had a power? Bu - okay, I guess it was a bit obvious at THAT point... By the way that's worn off, and also I've never done that before.
Then what IS your power? Wildheart asked.
It's...complicated. It's different every time. Sometimes I can make it happen when I want, sometimes it...just happens. Once I was able to fly for a while. Another time...well, as you saw, I grew two heads. But this is really weird. And freaky. And what in StarClan's name is going on with my body while I'm with you?! And this is just - just so -
Wildheart sighed. ...Wow. She turned to Spookkit. "Apparently we have - I have - a guest." Hm... she thought. I wonder if you can use my body since you're in my mind... She blinked. Nevermind don't try it. That's too scary to imagine.

[Puddles.]

SpookKit nods. "I know. It's DapplShade." He suddenly stiffens and leaps landing squarely on a mouse which was impressive due to his blind ness.

Yeah, yeah, you can GET INSIDE SOMEONE ELSE'S HEAD. Wildheart looked cautiously at Spookkit. "But you can only hear things, not read minds," she said uncomfortably, knowing Dappleshade could hear.
