Titus usually had nice dreams, dreams of hunting with an abundance of prey and where his speedy legs would never tire. This night though he couldn't feel dream's careful view on him, and as his eyes opened up for the first time since the previous night, he had seen nothing but the darkness. Yawning, the cheetah stood up slowly, he did not sleep in a den like some of the others, instead he found peace sleeping on a large rock which jutted from the ground. On foul nights when it rained he would go sleep under a tree, but he always preferred his rock, it kept him warm.
Moving his muscles with a slight twitch he turned and jumped from the rock, landing gracefully onto the ground. Moving his long tail, he sniffed the air, causally gaining the scents from all the other members of the pride. That comforted the cheetah, to know that others were around. Walking over to a pile of tall grass Titus sat back down and began to lick out some of his short fur. He hated it when his skin got irritated and he couldn't reach it due to his fur. So he kept himself well groomed.

Karma was a peaceful sleeper, most of the time anyways, and tonight it seemed like she dreamed of sitting by one of the rare savannah lakes, which unlike most of the water here was clear and fresh, not dirty and mucky. There had been no one around but her, and she kept the nice peaceful glow of the place. That was until bright eye seemed to hit into her, and she was forced to (unhappily) open up her eyes. It was around dawn, she could see that, most of the animals on the plain would be waking up now, well those that choose to not hunt and live during the night. Karma was not fussy about when she slept, and sometimes she did sleep during the day and awoke at night. But recently she had been sticking to daylight.
Like most leopards Karma preferred the height and comfort of a tree and was laid out on one of the branches of a tree. Her long spotted tail hanging down from the branch. Stiffly she got to her paws and jumped off of the low branch, landing in some of the light grass below the tree. Which had a spot where it was flatted- due to her jumping down so much. As she yawned thoughts ran through her head; what would she do today? Would there be a hunt? Would it be successful? Well she would have to wait and see.
