Fallenstar woke up in her soft moss nest and stretched. Yawning, she poked her head out of her den and looked across the cave to see what cats had woken up. Eaglecry and the rest of the dawn patrol were coming back into camp with prey. Fallenstar yawned again and retreated back into her den for more rest.

Halfshadow sleepily rose to her paws, blinking. She yawned softly and stiffly padded out of the warriors' den, then arching her back as she stretched her rigid muscles. The she-cat waved her tail as a greeting to Eaglecry. "How was the patrol?" she politely asked, sitting down. She licked scraps of moss off her pelt, pulling off a single twig of bracken from her chest.

Eaglecry set down the sparrow she was caring and shook her head lightly. "It was fine but a storm's coming." Eaglecry's voice had concern in it. She was slightly stressed since she knew how the storms could be in the mountains. She didn't really want to guard the nursery to make sure Mockingkit and Swankit stayed put. She would much rather be out in the forest or on the rock by the river with the sun in on her fur.

Halfshadow made a soft 'hmm.' "Were you able to tell how bad it would be?" she asked, tipping her half black, half orange head to the left. "Hopefully not that bad," she sighed to herself.

Eaglecry shook her head, "No, but it's just that... You know..." She didn't really want to explain it because she couldn't explain it. It was strange in that way. She yawned and stretched, "I guess I should try to get some more sleep." She waved her tail in farewell and padded to the fresh-kill and put the sparrow on it carefully. She padded over to the warrior's den and disappeared inside it.

I yawn, rolling over in my nest. I scramble to my paws realizing that my other Den-mates were already awake. I walk out of my den hoping not to be noticed till I could slip out of camp then come back in. I slip out of camp and rub myself against a tree. I even roll in the dirt to make me smell like forest. I walk back into camp looking around for any of my friends. I spot Dustpath, Eaglecry and Halfshadow. I walk up to Dustpath. "Hello." I say to the tom blinking my eyes against the early morning sun light.
