Trade Rant Thread [v. 18]

So I sent a user a trade for their angel advent, my cake dog and Light leopard for it. I wasn't sure if it was fair so I told them I would check the fair trade thread.
And as I'm about to PM them with the answer I got from the thread they send me this PM;

What the hell is this? German!?
I can see from their posts and their trade rules that they speak PERFECT English, and my message was in English, so I have no freaking idea why they would PM me with a message in German.
I just...
I don't even know!
Who does that?
If you can speak English, and someone is speaking to you in English, why would you speak to them in German?

but the offer contains no demand pets

I'd love to accept the trade...but the demand..BMDs have pretty good demand and I'm sure I might be able to trade up higher with it and I'm trying to stick to decent demand pets. But this offer is really good.

When I see an auction for my ultimate dreamy and I send a really horrifically terrible trade with all the pets I have on the person's wl, all but three of which are rare/vr, and then someone comes along and bids with their omgsr and those other rares list pets, it's fine, I knew I had no chance to begin with lol.
But then I realise that the person who sent that bid joined more than two months later than me.
And I can't help but feel completely and utterly worthless because all my pets are terrible compared to what they've achieved in less time than me.
And even though I try my hardest, I feel like I'm just going around in circles, because it's as if I excrete some sort of substance that deters people from trading with me, or helping with my paperclip.

You managed to describe exactly what I'm going through right now, word for word.
It's been a long and difficult time for me, it's been months and my progress is well.. null...

It's come to a point when my mind starts to tell itself "You're terrible at this, why bother?"...
Or things like "You'll never do it, don't even bother attempting to.. you'll fail anyway." it's just frustrating.
Sometimes (well most of the times now) the motivation and determination just runs out, it goes dry- there's none left.

I feel exactly like how you said it, it's like just running in a circle, repeatedly and endless.
Trading up or paperclips will always fail for me, I've never been successful even once- and in frustration I gift them away.

Ah.. this is just getting silly.
I apologize for such a long and dragging rant, I should stop now. ^ ^"

I ask NICELY once and a person gave a nasty message with a quick cancel, Geez I was not asking for a rare pet or anything
