❝one foot on sea and one on shore❞
⊰ thinking about ; wondering how many other people are mermaids, if any.
⊰ doing ; swimming in the ocean.
⊰ mood ; content, especially in the water.
⊰ with ; no one; if anybody wants to RP, pip is free c:
⊱ Pipakelalia watched the tide. She was sitting with her feet tucked under her on a big armchair, chin resting on the palm of her right hand. she was sitting in the parlor, like Ann liked to call it, of the small cottage. Ann was just leaving to go to some town meeting or something, so Pip was able to have some alone time. It was beautiful; the constant rise and fall of the waves, and erosion of the small pebbles, how full of life the sea was; all hidden under the deep blue. A dark mystery.
She stretched and got up, looking down at what she was wearing. The sun was streaming from the window, and Pipa was still in her pajamas. She grabbed a pair of shorts from her closet and a coral see through shirt that she tucked into the shorts, over a turquoise tank top. putting on her flip flops, she simultaneously grabbed a belt, but decided against it. After all, she was going into the water. Looking in the mirror, Pip shrugged and ran a finger through her hair. Good enough. She stepped out of the door, and took her time walking to the beach. She was contemplating which part she should go to, but ultimately decided on the less populated region. She doubted anybody would be there.
Pip teetered on a rock, just inches from the water. She was on the side where nobody really goes to; it was quite rocky until just by the water. She looked behind her back to see if someone was there, although there was not a single soul in sight. she took off her shoes, and put a foot in the water. Inhaling deeply, she jumped in. Treading water, she closed her eyes and counted. She was acutely aware of every sounds; she could hear the cry of the seagulls, the rush of ind on the ears, and crashing waves. Opening her eyes, Pip flipped her tail up into view to marvel at it; it was a beautiful blue-grey, and it shimmered when the light caught it. Smiling, Pipa dove underwater to explore. She wondered why her mother ever kept this a secret from her; she loved being a mermaid. It gave her a sense of meaning that she never had before. How was it possible? That question had been wracking her brain ever since she reached for those papers scattered around her home. No matter how much she loved Ann, that would forever be her home. She missed it desperately. Now that she though of it, the house was bound for disaster. It was wooden and old, and a quarter of the house was off the edge of the cliff, supported by wooden beams. Still, there wasn't a night that the storm didn't haunt her dreams. When she saw her mother, she felt like the most helpless person on the planet. Who could she lean on? Pip paused her swimming as a thought sprang into her mind. Does that mean she had mermaid relatives? This was too much for her. She allowed her mind to drift from the thought and let herself be amazed at what was underwater. She swam deeper, and she knew she should be freezing, but she felt nothing but a comfortable warmness. As she swam, she outstretched her arms. They didn't look any different, nor did they feel any different. Still, Pip guessed that her skin had assumed a protective layer when she changed into mermaid form. She vaguely wondered whether she would come across any mermaids; she was afraid, but she still desperately wanted to.

❝singing to an ocean, i can hear the ocean's roar❞
« doing ; by the water playing accordion
« thinking about ; hoping that ella is there.
« with ; no one.
« mood ; happy, but slightly anxious to see her.
» Isaiah grabbed his accordion from it's position on top of his bookshelf, and strapped it on his shoulders. He sighed when he realized his till needed his shoes, and struggled to put them on without taking off the accordion. Finally, he stepped outside in the blinding sun. a warmth spread onto his skin from the hot sun, and Isaiah squinted his green eyes as he looked toward the beach. His house was located right by the beach, so he just had to step outside and he was already on sand. He rested his fingers on the cool keys, and went to his usual place, a little cove in the rocks where there was tons of large pieces of driftwood. He looked into the ocean, trying to search for something. Someone, to be exact. A mermaid. She hadn't told him her name yet, but Isaiah didn't mind. He didn't know many people in the town; he was actually from Sydney, and had moved here just a few months ago. He was amazed when he first saw her, but unsure. He sat just by the water today, singing quietly and playing the accordion. The ocean was his muse. He looked up, hoping to her He remembered it like it was yesterday.
It was quite cold that particular day, so nobody was really around when he find out about her. Isaiah went to the beach nearly every single day, not really paying attention to what weather it was. He was sitting the a piece of driftwood in a nook of the rocks, gently strumming his guitar and humming to himself. It was foggy, but Isaiah didn't mind. Faintly, he could see the silhouette of girl. He squinted, trying to see what she was doing. Was she insane? He watched her as she went into the water. Isaiah's mind sprang to one thought - she's going to die. Dropping everything, Isaiah ran in her direction, but something made him stop in his tracks. The girl had disappeared, and he could see a tail flip in the water, and her head bobbing back up. His jaw was slightly agape at this point. Surely this was his imagination?
Ever since then, he went to that spot everyday until she finally decided to come closer. He stood at the waters edge, and in that particular spot, there were lots of giant rocks in the waters, and he saw the glint of a miraculous colour, and just a sliver of hair. He called, to her, telling her it's alright, he wouldn't say a thing, won't she please come? After several days of trying, she finally came closer to the edge, and he did as well. It was an amazing, breathtaking sight. He's wanted to talk to her, find out how could this be, get to know this beautiful mystery.

The sand was warm on the beach, I wish I could say the same about the water. But I didn't dare touch it after what happened last time, because as a single drop fell on my perfect pale skin, I grew this awful green [or maybe blue] tail that was long a couple of meters, and on top I had this bikini top made of scales. I was angry at first, that this happened to me, because I am a bad swimmer, but after I crawled into the ocean I felt different. The water cared for me. It would let me drown. I could breathe underwater and my swimming was excelent with this tail. But then again, what would the human kind do if they figured out I was not as everyone saw me for. I always hated the doctor and scientics, would they try to figure me out. tests stuff on me? I wouldn't let that happen, so I didn't use water infront of other people. Some say I'm delusional, because I feared even slightest contact with H2O.
I looked around making sure nobody was around to see the magic that would happen fifteen seconds after I run into the waves. But there wasn't a soul in sight. Maybe it was because this was the part of the beach were the big fish hung out. Some actually saw sharks swimming around. I checked the perimeter of the beach once more and then made a dash towards the sea. Right after my toes touched the water, I started my countdown. One, two, three, four. I muttered to myself as I got in deeper and deeper. Five, six, seven, eight. Now the water touched my waist and I could start swimming. I dove in and in my head I thought. Nine, ten, eleven, twelve. Suddently bubbling started to appear, but not realizing that I counted on. Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, six--. But I had no time to finish that thought, since I grew into my fishy-self. Out of reflex I swam up to catch my breathe, but of course that wasn't needed anymore.
My head emerged from the water and I took a deap breathe. I thought a while before going back under. Where to? Where to? The cave, maybe. But, after a minute of my mind debating and arguing I felt like too big a schizophrenic and decided for the first and only option. The cave, where I became a mermaid. I dove in the water for the second time, but this time I started swimming to the destination. I felt like I was the fastest thing on Earth, for some reason I kept going faster and faster. Suddently I figured out I was spead-swimming, or something like that. If I saw someone doing this, I would probably see only a line of water streaking across the ocean. Nothing less, nothing more.
After my arrival at the cave. I relaxed my tail, by lying down on the rocky stairs [or at least it looked like stairs]. My back leaning n the rocks, I watched my tail swing back and forth. It was like magic, I thought and smiled to myself.
