Bronte pads into camp and looks around. She smiled, the pack is growing everyday. Bronte looked around for Hailstorm, she needed to tell him that she scented humans a couple miles off.

Dusk's spirit's fell as soon as she spoke. "Great." He muttered, watching Cody walk into his den. Around this time of year, Dusk was always at war with himself. He knew the only way to keep his pack alive was to steal from Hailstorm's pack, but he hated it. If only Hailstorm would listen! He thought angrily, remembering how their last meeting had turned bloody.

Cody's dreams were willed with terrible thoughts and pictures. he jolted awake. Aware of his own hunger and weakness Cody got up and padded outside his den, the sun was going down and a frost already covered the ground. He saw Dusk had not taken the hare. It was sitting out there in the open. Cody growled to himself and went to go fin at least a mouse or something.

Dusk sighed and looked at the rabbit by his feet. Picking it up as gingerly as he could, he brought it back to his den, where he started to take small bites. Realizing how not hungry he was, he grabbed it and padded out again, looking for who could use it more than he could.

Just about accepted, Moo! Sauver is great, I'll add him. However, Vesper can't just join as a beta, so I will put her as delta. ))

Vesper shivered and fluffed out her pelt as a gale sent the temperature shooting down. The sky was a resolute pearly white, and the air stung her nose. Seeing Cody leave his den looking disgruntled, she got up and decided to follow him. As delta in a pack with no beta, there wasn't much she could do beside observing Dusk, and that was not only slightly creepy but also got old quite soon. "Hey Cody!" she shouted, bounding after him. This was enough to get her blood pumping but as she slowed to a trot she could feel the cold creeping up again.

Sauver wove his way around the trees and listened to the sound of his own breathing as he made his daily runs around the dens. He hummed a little tune he had made up the day before under his breath, but hadn't put any words into it. As he walked, he tried to think of some Scout-related lyrics.

Cody perked his ears up. He smiled a bit seeing the Delta. " hey Vesper! Whatcha doing?" he asked, still padding but more slowly. Vesper was a really pretty wolf. he saw how cold she was and smiled even more, " Join the rest of tha pack! he thought and continued his way uphill.

Dusk watched Vesper trail after Cody, smiling a bit as the delta called after him. He set the rabbit down in Goldpaws den and trotted into the woods, going to check things out for himself before everyone got back.
The moment he entered the woods he knew he was in trouble. All the leaves had fallen and there wasn't a plant in sight. Dusk stopped, heart-broken at the emptiness that seemed to echo around him. He sat down, trying to figure out what he should do next.
