add-on list, regarding nov/oct 08's, discussion thread.

After reading all of the pages, this is what I have to say.

if you are too lazy to read what I wrote below, because its long, heres a short basic of what I said.
-3 tailed green pastel should be moved down. it seems to be worth much less than the other pastels
-green bat dog shouldnt be up there in my opinion. its really not that rare.
-light faced and dark faced october seem to be pretty close in rarity and demand added together. I would be fine having them on the same line, but I wont object to them being on different lines.

On the talk of the pastels.
3 taileds are much easier to get than the rest of the litter. I hoarded them a long time ago and got about 30 very fast. I traded em off and it took quite a long time because no one really wanted them.
I went back and looked. and I often swapped them for a few 09 rares or quantities of uncommons with added 2010 or 09 rares. as well it was common for me to swap them for patchworks, which werent on the list or thought to be near the worth of the list at the time. patchies, at that time, mainly went for 09 rares, like many store pets did at first.
this was back in late 2011. pretty much about a year ago.
even now I see them floating around and not going for a whole lot.
I find them worth much less than the other pastels and should be moved down a line in my opinion.

as for the green bat dog. I have never seen it go for a normal 08 rare. unless someone was desperate, but that happens with every pet. I see them mainly go for 09 rares. and not particularly very high demand/high valued ones. probably around mid 09 rares or lower valued 09 rares. I dont know if I like having it on the list. It was uncommon for a very long time as well. It may have a lot of demand, but it certainly isnt worth all that much from what I have seen. So I dont believe it should even be on the list at all.
edit- after talking with DD [through the ftt xat chat] we decided that either both the bat and the star should be on the list or neither should.
they were both available a long time. and honestly I dont see them having the pure worth to be on the list at all. the bat may have a lot of demand. but in rarity it isnt worth that much.

I believe the light faced october is actually rarer in pure rarity than the dark faced [correct me if I am wrong]. but the dark faced has much more demand. so I find them to be pretty close with demand and rarity counted all together. I would be fine having them on the same line. but its not a huge issue for me if they arent on the same line.

thats my opinion on the list so far.
sorry if you disagree but this is mainly opinion and experience.

I agree with trouble. I don't think the Green Bat Dog should be on the list, since it might be popular, it is pretty easy to get. If it is, it should be at the bottom of the list.

Though the star royal is a common rare and to me, it's perfectly swappable with the batdog, which has nice demand.
But Idont think theyre worth quite enough to be on this list.

I'm agreeing with Tru as well. While the Royal litter is a good litter, I went through the search and found more people looking for the Royal Bobtail (but not that many, so needs to be lower on the list) than the other two. I find more people not wanting the 2nd Gen Batwing like they do its parent and the Star Royal doesn't have that much of a demand either way. IMO I don't think either of them should be on the list quite just yet.

No, it needs to come down a little bit. It is Rare, but doesn't have that much of a demand as of yet. It's not an October where they do have the demand to have them where they are. It'd be nice to see the litter where the Octobers are, but that won't happen just yet. Been here too long and have seen a lot go on with trades and such. The '09 buns that just went Rare I'd like to see on the list, but dno if DD is working on that part yet.

In the rarity changes list that solloby posted earlier, you can see that the royal bobtail went very rare together with these: Orange Light Stripe, Red Heavy Stripe, Red Spotted. However, it does in fact have more demand then those dogs. The royal bobtail is hoarded all over and it's pretty hard to come by, while most of the other octobers and especially the spotted/striped litter are hard to get.

I think it's fine where it is, it has the same demand as the ying-yang and the dark-faced, if not more.


I'm all for removing the star-greenbat dog line, like me and trouble concluded in our xat chat convo. They are just a tad too common to be on the list just yet, maybe in a few months, but we can always add them then.

As for the 09's, i think we need to focus on placing the advents that we want to move down first, then focus on very rare 09's and then after that on rare/event specials. Because i honestly don't think that the other 09 rare buns should be on this list, as they are not equally rare to most 08's that are on here already.

I realize that the name of this thread '09 list' might be a bit wrong. The list that we are creating is for those 09's that are harder to come by and should be equally valued as the last 08's that weren't on the list yet. So perhaps naming this the 08 october/november list would be better, 09's list is just what came to mind when i created the topic.

I can see your point, DD. Although I didn't find that many posts wanting trades or auctioning for the Bobtail, I still think that even though it is a VR now, it still doesn't have the demand like the Octobers of '08 do. The only other one I see that may have the same demand is the Gold Robodog, but I'm not sure (need to look again) if it's available for the '08/'09 line up. Is the Punk bun/Raver bun allowed to be included in the line up as well or is it still too common of a Rare to make it there?

I didn't ask about that. I asked DD if it was going to be included on the new list. Demand for it has lessened and some from there need to be moved to make room for more.
