Firepetal also looked up, from grooming her kits, and looked at Skyfoot. "I was just going to ask if any of you could maybe take care of an extra kit?" Skyfoot meowed. "Pondweed found him, a newborn tom. His mother and littermates were already dead." He added, he didn't mention that it was Pondweed's kit.

[walk.]

Jellyspark mewed, "Sorry, I can't, all my teats are full with my own kits." Rubystorm mewed, "I'm not ready to take on another kit... Sorry Skyfoot."

[wolf ;;]

Skyfoot nodded, and he turned to leave, because he thought Firepetal would say no, but the orange tabby flicked her tail. "I'll take care of the kit." Firepetal meowed, and Skyfoot looked at her. "Are you sure? You have six young kits to look after." He meowed, and Firepetal nodded. Skyfoot blinked his eyes, then he padded out of the nursery and went back to the medicine cat den.

Pondweed sighed and lay back next to his son and mewed, "I wonder which queen will nurse you darling..."

[wolf ;;]

Skyfoot got back to the den and he looked at Pondweed. "Firepetal said she could take him."

[Hey, isn't Goldensong expecting Oakstorm's kits? XD]

Pondweed tensed and spat, "She is not having my kit, she has already put me through so much trouble!"

Skyfoot looked at his mentor calmly. "Look, you give the kit to Firepetal or he is going to die! Anyway, what has Firepetal done to you exactly? She hasn't even spoken to you after she told you she was having kits!"

[walk.]

Pondweed mewed, "She HAD my kits Skyfoot... She can't nurse the kit I actually wanted to have..." Goldensojg padded in, her bellying bulging and mewed, "My milk supply has just kicked off, I'll nurse him."

[wolf ;;]

Skyfoot looked at Goldensong, and he flicked his tail, then he padded out of the den again.

Pondweed nodded and took his son gently by the scruff and handed him to Goldensong who nodded and waddled into the nursery.
