My name is Suzi. Some people say I'm evil. I say I'm opinionated. But there's one thing you need to know: my life is harder than you realize. And after you read this, you'll understand.

Yeah, that's me. Or at least, that was me when I was born. I'm different now. But I'll explain that later on. For now, just read. Read about my life..... if you can handle it.
I opened my eyes and awoke. It was morning. Another new day to help people! I kicked off my sheets and jumped out of my bed. I ran to the kitchen. I smelled waffles! I slid into a chair and my mom set down a plate with five waffles on it in front of me. I picked up my fork and stabbed the waffle then stuffed it in my mouth. Then I spoke (my words will be in dark purple).
Oh, Mom, these are delicious!
I stuffed another pancake into my mouth. Then my mom spoke (her words will be in darkish green).
Thanks, Suzi. I'm glad you like them.
No, I LOVE them!
I stuffed another into my mouth, and soon they were all gone. I suddenly heard the bus coming down the road.
Oh no! The bus! Sorry Mom, gotta go!
I grabbed my backpack and flew out the front door.
THANK YOU FOR THE WAFFLES!
The bus was just about to leave when I jumped onto it and took a seat. I breathed a sigh of relief. I'd missed the bus tons of times, and that would always mean getting picked on by the bullies. Oh well. I got on today!
The bus stopped in front of the school and everybody hopped off and ran into the school building. My first class was Math. I went to my locker, unlocked it, and picked up everything I needed. The bell rang, and I headed toward the Math room. Just as I was opening the door somebody grabbed my shoulder and whirled me around, making me drop my backpack (their words will be in brown).
Alright, give it to me, Suzi.
Give what to you?
This dude looked familiar. Where had I seen him?
My homework. You said you'd do it, remember? Now give it.
Oh no. This was Rick. He was the head football player. And last Friday I happened to run into him (literally) and knocked him to the ground (you'd think a football player would be more stable). He got mad, but instead of punching me in the face he ordered me to do his homework. So here I was, with no homework. I had completely forgotten to do it.
Um.... yeah.... about that-
You didn't forget to do it, did you, Suzi?
Well, I-
Because you know what happens when you don't do what I ask.
Yeah. I did know. I'd seen it millions of times. Rick would beat up all those people who didn't do what he asked. And of course he was always nicey-nice when the teachers were around. And no teacher believed those who got beat up, because "Rick was always right", as they said. I gulped.
Yeah.
So, where is it?
I gulped again.
I-
What's going on here?
I breathed a sigh of relief and turned to my father. He was the Math teacher.
You know that Math class is starting, right?
Yeah. Sorry, Dad. I got caught up.
And you, Rick?
I was heading to class when Suzi started talking to me.
That big fat liar.
Is that true, Suzi?
Of course it wasn't.
No.
See? She's always lying, Sir.
My dad looked at me, than at Rick.
Get to class, both of you.
Then he turned to me.
We'll talk about this later.
I nodded, but inside I was fuming. I went into Math class and sat down in my chair a little harder than I intended to. Because as soon as I crashed into the chair hard, it broke under me and I fell through it and onto the floor. I heard chuckles from around the room. And of course, right at that instant, my dad had to walk in. He walked calmly to me, gave me his hand, and helped me up. Then he led me to the door and pointed to the principal's office. I nodded, trying not to growl or scream. I headed to the principal's office, opened the door, and tried my best not to slam it shut. Sitting in a chair was the principal (his words will be in dark blue).
Hello again, Suzi. What do you need?
I broke a chair.
Oh? And why?
I didn't mean to, I was just mad.
Why were you mad?
Ugh. If I said that I was mad at Rick, than I would get in more trouble.
I've just been having a bad day.
I see. Have a seat.
I sat down in a seat across from the principal.
Suzi, what's been going on with you lately?
Nothing.
We both know that's a lie.
I sighed. Time to spill.
I haven't been getting any sleep. Everytime I doze off, something shocks me awake. Like some sort of electricity is going through me. I don't know what it is. But everytime I start to fall asleep, I get electrocuted.
That's very odd.
Yeah. I know. But it's the truth.
I know it's the truth. I can tell by your voice. But I don't know what it is. Have you told your parents?
No offense, but are you kidding me? They never listen to me anyway. My dad thinks I'm lying. My mom doesn't say anything because she's afraid my dad will get mad at her, and I end up getting grounded for fifty years because I told a lie when I didn't!
Well. I had said a lot more than I intended to say.
Suzi? I think you need to talk to your parents. Tell them how you feel. If they still don't listen, come and talk to me again. Maybe I can help somehow.
Alright. I'll try talking to them tonight.
The principal smiled and nodded.
Good. Now, you best be getting back to class.
Right.
I stood up and headed for the door.
And Suzi? Don't break anymore chairs.
I smiled.
I'll try not to.
And then I opened the door and went back to Math class.
