"Funny, I seem to always be the 'victim' of these kind of things." Augustus retorted, his voice little less edgy.
"And what's with you today? You seem distant."
The younger lion dragon used his paw to flick away the leaves that got stuck under his fur.
"Don't you ever get lonely out here? Why don't you have a master anyway? It might do you good for you to learn how to be tamer." Of course Augustus meant no harm by what he had said, just gentle teasing.

Uncle Tom
Tom's eyes narrowed in on the green lion dragon that caused much worry for him. Why is it that the young tend to jump at the throats of the elderly nowadays with their youthful ways and such? Tom's ears rested back against his head gently as they normally did and he sat down, keeping his eyes on the lion dragon.

"Relax, will ya'? It's not my fault that from a mile away it looks like a blaze," Tom reassured him, his gaze appearing to be more subtle and relaxed.

Gallows
Gallows immediately snapped his head back, staring right at Augustus as he turned his whole body around and walked up to Augustus, glaring down at him. This glare was different. It gave off a loom of great seriousness, one of which Gallows never exhibits. This causes much uncertainty and brings much fear to the one who is being looked upon with this glare. But quickly that gaze left his eyes as they suddenly became his more cheerful and relaxed gleam.

"I'm fine. Just bored. Not like that should be a surprise to you or anyone out here," Gallows replied, slightly delayed as usual. "But I'm definitely not lonely and I definitely don't need a master. Man what makes you think I'm that kind of lion dragon?"

Augustus quickly stared up at the jet black dragon that loomed over him. He scanned the older male for any signs that the expression that he was showing was just a joke; but he couldn't find any. As fast as that look he gave him came, it left, making Augustus sit there with widened eyes and his jaw slighly open as if he were about to say something. Was that Gallow's anger he had seen? Was it just a joke? He could of been sure he was going to be lashed out at, there is no way that that sort of emotion could of ended so fast if it was real, or was this just some sort of Faqade the jeck black lion dragon was putting on?
"No, I mean, I didn't mean to make it sound like you couldn't handle it out here! I know very well you can," The chills in his body slowly left as he spoke. "But every time I see you...you sort of look...I don't know...depressing? Not you yourself, but the area around you just feels like that. It's nice to have a friend, be it another dragon or a master."

Gallows

Gallows' ears became uneven, one perked up slightly more than the other as his head slowly cocked to the side. For a second he looked at Augustus like this, but then he looked behind him and at his "yard". Serene, beautiful, paradise.

Gallows snapped his head back into place and looked at Augustus more confused than before. "I'm not sure I get what you're saying. I mean, I have plenty of lion dragons that come around here to mess with, and Mimz' is always a frequent visitor, even though he just bolts off after I jump out of a bush to greet him."

Soul calmed little as he sat on his rump. The fyre around his paws gave away his feeling of anger and calmness thrown together. it flickered violently. Soul narrowed his eyes. He almost wanted to attack this old Lion Dragon. For some reason Soul felt a strong dislike to the domestic Lion Dragon. Soul's tail flicked from side to side in impateince.

'Who wouldn't run away at the sight of anything in the forest jumping out from a bush?' he thought dryly. Augustus looked at the black lion dragon's home when Gallows turned around. All the young male could see was the same thing he saw every time he came outside. He understood that this was Gallows' home, and nothing could move him from it, but Augustus wouldn't want to live in this kind of world when he was perfectly content with his easygoing life.
"All I'm saying is that it might be nice for you. Then again...it might be a little to soft for someone like you..."

Gallows

Gallows looked back again for a quick reassurance,grunting softly and he turned back to look at Augustus. "Of course it's too soft for me," he confirmed, and stood up slowly onto all four paws. "A life with a human owner is no life for me. I've lived this way my entire life and I have no intentions on ever becoming the pet of a owner."

Gallows stood tall and proudly before Augustus, showing confidence in all he was saying to Augustus who appeared to be quite worried about his current living standards. Augustus knows well enough to expect this answer, Gallows thought to himself, but why does he keep bringing it up as if Gallows had this tendency to forget things so easily? Gallows whisked his tail to and fro once before going up to the lake and drinking from it.

Uncle Tom

Tom let out a chuckle of slight amusement. "Relax, young one. I don't mean to intrude in any way," he told the young lion dragon before him, showing clearly signs of impatience and a wanting to snap back at Tom's throat.

"Why does anger consume your mind so easily?"
