"Hm. I have a friend who owns a cat, I wonder if she's having the same problem..." Bill shrugged. He looked at Jiro thoughtfully. "Who is this new owner, anyway?"

"don't know." Jiro shrugged. "never met him."

"Hmm..." Bill thought that was odd. Shouldn't every boss know his staff?

"all we know is he's laughing at the results of his new pet food...." Jiro showed Bill the photos pet ownered has sent in, all of them were before and after photos.The pets looked fine in one photo, but like another Ember int he next.

"Well, I guess I can see how he'd find it funny... but shouldn't he be concerned?" Bill looked through the photos.

"he doesn't have pets, so he doesn't care. Us lot working for him have to give our pets this stuff or we get fired..." Jiro shivered slightly.

Bill gave Jiro a sympathetic look. "Sorry to hear that." He looked around. "Here, why don't we talk over a cup of coffee?"

"sure." Jiro smiled. He grabbed his oversized borzoi and followed Bill inside, his other two dogs coming behind him.

Bill looked at Ember. "Come on... We'll talk later," he said quietly, and went inside.

Ember whimpered, he tried to follow Bill, but his paws couldn't even reach past hi stomach...
