"I don't think so...Princess." Ephilon told her with a smirk. "It's too much fun." He purred.

Kaiiyen rolled her eyes. "Men." She continued to walk deeper into the forest. "Stupid, inconsiderate.. Et cetera." She said to herself, rubbing her neck.

[Quitting :I]

"Sometimes." Ephilon said, a playful grin on his face. "But women are moody and unpredictable." He told her. "At least men are straightforward." He said, crossing his arms over his chest as he trailed after her.

She glared at him. "Don't you have anything better to do, sir?" She asked, voice cold. She made it to the base of the largest tree in the forest. She took a book out of a large pocket in her cloak and flipped it open, scanning the battered pages from where she had last left off, sitting down in the grass. She was slowly getting annoyed now.

"No, actually..." Ephilon told her, laying down with his paws crossed over each other, elbow on top of his arm with his head leaning in a hand. "I don't." He finished. "What're you doing?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. He felt kind of bad for just assuming that she was evil...Of course, he wasn't about to admit that.

"Reading." She answered shortly, eyebrows furrowed as she tried to read the strange lettering. "But I don't read english. Just Darkanian." She said, turning a page, but couldn't read that side either. "And I come into this forest to read, hoping for peace and quiet because I can't get any back at the damn castle because- and why would you care??" She said, slamming the book shut and tossing it like a frisbee; it landed a few feet away because the throw was half-hearted.

Ephilon frowned slightly as the book skid to a halt in front of him. He leaned down and picked it off, brushing off the cover. "I would care...Because I have nothing to do, and you're interesting enough..." He said before shifting on his paws to sort of army crawl forward, although only his tiger half was really very close to the ground. He offered a small smile. "I can tell you can't read...This is a children's story." He told her. "I could help you learn...If you're willing to put up with me." He told her, raising an eyebrow.

Kaiiyen had crossed her arms and glared at the ground. "It's one of my favourites. My mom used to read it to me when I was little. She promised to teach me, but she never got the chance." She looked up. "Really? You'd teach me?" Her voice had a slightly hopeful tone. "That'd be helpful... I'd appreciate it.."

[Quitting :I]

Ephilon shifted slightly so he was next to her. "I guess..." He said. "Do you know the common language at all?" He asked. He was rather fond of this story himself...It was familiar, something his own mother had read to him...Well, his 'mother' after he'd been adopted by humans. A fond smile crept over his lips.

Kaiiyen shook her head. "I only know how to speak it." She said, glaring at the grass, thinking he was secretly laughing at her. She didn't like being laughed at.
