What is a Flying Lemur?

A Flying Lemur is a mouse-like creature which is nocturnal. They have elastic-like skin which is stretched from the front leg to the hind. 'Flying' is exaggerating a bit. They can only glide, but they can go long distances. Their large squirrel tail helps them to keep their balance when flying, but also in trees too. They have large mouse ears which can catch noises from up to 15 miles away. The long silky fur which is on the lemur's hind legs also help to keep a straight line when gliding. Their paws may look like they are canine, but they are actually more like toes, which help to keep hold of branches. They also have a pouch hidden within their fur, and also the wing, which they use to carry young around in.
Flying Lemurs make ideal pets if you are into adventures. They are very brave a loyal, and will protect others from danger. These cute creatures also love to sleep, and usually like warmth.
