The War of the Eclipse (Multi-Animal;; Maybe Reopening? :D))

Yuki's eyes lit up at Dakotah's words. The Clan of Shadows was scared of them. "Come on, Raja!" Yuki called and thundered after Dakotah. "Dakotah," he panted, once he had caught up, "Do you think... that... if we destroy the Clan of Shadows before the Solar Eclipse, we have a chance...?" Yuki's eyes were shining with determination and hope.

Soc looked up, and his ears perked. A small, rat-like tail curled around, and he smiled, tongue lolling out for a few moments. His bright eyes dulled as the sun hit his pelt, and a small whimper came out as his red markings dulled and returned to the dark-brown they usually were. But he wouldn't be bummed for long, because in the distance he could see Gage approaching, his tracker and trainer. He knew he'd have something planned for them to do! Excitedly he sat up, waiting for the wolverine to notice him. However, the brute simply walked past, and drank heavily from the water pond. Ears pressed against his skull, Soc walked up to the water pond, and glanced over at Gage. "Hey! Where were you? I was waiting for you forever..." The young male whined, and added in his head, In between doing errands for the rest of the clan. I think they just made them up as they went. 'Soc, go track down this stick. It's my favorite one!' Phhff. Yeah right.

Dakotah
Dakotah smiled as she heard Yuki shout. Good, she thought. Now we'll win for sure. Her ears twitched as she was reminded of the Solar Eclipse. When that day came.. It wouldn't only be those two Shadow members. It would be the entire clan. ...If we destroy the Clan of Shadows before the Solar Eclipse... Dakotah's sprint slowed. Soon she was trotting along, and after that, she wasn't moving at all. "The entire Clan of Shadows..." Her eyes shot up to Yuki. "Wait!" she yelled. "Stop! We can't go right now. We have to go back." Her heart began to beat faster. "What was I thinking?!" she whispered to herself. "Exactly! I wasn't! What's gotten into me?! I can't be.." Her eyes widened. Her smile. Her words. Her actions. "..I'm not becoming corrupt.. Am I?" She was whispering very softly, hoping nobody would hear.

Gage's eyes slowly moved to Soc's. "Oh, hello," Gage said casually. "I'm sorry for my abscence. I've been... Busy.." He bent over and took another drink, and lifted his head back up. He licked the trickling water off his chops, then went on. "I was doing a bit of scouting, when Thorn showed up. And after that.. Well, we had a small adventure, you could say." A grin came back over his face, but it quickly dissapeared. He looked past Soc to see Yuki and Dakotah, way in the distance. His teeth clenched and his eyes narrowed. "My dear Soc," he said, "do you think you're ready for an errand? I believe I have the perfect training for you. But don't worry, I'll help you with this one.. It's much more challenging than what you usually do." His grin came back as his eyes shifted back to Soc's.

Yuki skidded to a halt, "What? Why are we stopping? Come on, Dakotah, it's day! We have the strength." Yuki's blue markings glowed beautifully... powerfully, in the sunlight. His well-hardened muscles rippled strongly under his shining pelt as he shuddered in anticipation. He wanted to get back at the Clan of Shadows.

Thorn split from behind Gage, and wandered off on her own around the camp. There was still prey to catch, just a quick morsel and she wouldn't do anything else much for the rest of the day. Although her substance had nearly faded and looked a deep crimson under the sun, and her coat was not as glossy as it was at night, her muscles were still seen rippling under the shine-depleted pelt. She moved gracefully, breathing in soft, slow pants as she gracefully sprang off fallen trees and under low-hanging limbs until she caught a scent of deer again, evidently the same one she had scented an hour ago. The corners of Thorn's mouth twitched up as she felt a rush of anticipation for the kill.
Following the scent, Thorn moved swiftly through the trees. Finally, she spotted it and quickly dropped low. Now this was how she liked it; one-on-one with some prey that gave a fight. It was mating season for the bucks and this one already had one antler torn off from fighting over a mate. Thorn made sure her scent was downwind from the stag. She was only five feet away from it; its ears must be clogged from dried blood or something. Who knew these could be such violent creatures? But she had only assumed. Thorn took one more step towards the deer. It flinched and she sprang.
Seconds later, Thorn grasped the dead stag in her jaws. She gave the neck one last vicious clamp to ensure it was dead, and promptly returned to camp.

Excited, Soc nodded his head vigorously. "Boy, am I!" He smirked, barely able to contain himself. If you looked closely, you could see his legs trembling. Yellow eyes narrowed, and looked at his trainer curiously. "But sir... What is it we'll be doing?" The young thylacine ventured, tilting his head slightly to the right.

From a distance, Chemukh watched Yuki and Dakotah run off into the distance. Her eyes narrowed, and she shook her head. Her clan was starting to get restless... The snow leopard's blue eyes seemed to glow along with her pelt, and she felt herself regaining strength that had she had lost overtime. She felt young again, like the little Chemukh playing pranks with her brother. But she was not that Chemukh. She had a different war to fight; one much more dangerous. She not only had her family at stake, she had her whole clan. Young animals willing to fight for justice, believing her when she spoke of the evil that is the Clan of Shadows. The alpha female slipped away from the overlook, and padded away from the two. She knew they would do what was right in the end. Dakotah and Yuki were good fighters; surely they knew the difference between right and wrong better than those Clan of Shadow members. Besides, she needed some time to think. There was a war going on. She must be prepared.

[Calypso Sky]

Raja didn't follow Yuki and Dakotah. The time for fighting would be in two days, as the wolverine had said. He looked up at the sky, wondering what they were going to need to do to insure the safety of the Clan of the Mist. Sighing, he turned and padded back to camp, scenting Chemukh in the distance. The handsome tiger's stripes were now glowing with the rising sun, and his eyes shone with a new determination. Raja saw his alpha and walked over to the snow leopeard, bowing his head in greeting before settling down beside her. "What are we going to do?" He asked Chemukh, knowing that she surely knew about the eclipse by now, "Do we have a chance if we run? Or are we going to stay and fight?"

Maggio narrowed his eyes when Gage and Thorn dashed past him without saying anything. I'll have to do something about that if they don't talk to me soon, he thought. Jumping down from the rock he was standing on, Maggio padded over to the thicker part of the woods, he had seen some rabbits there earlier, and he was hungry. The fox barely had time to get into a crouch when a rabbit practically ran into his paws. Smiling, Maggio used one paw to hold it down and used a claw on his other paw to cut a straight, clean line from the rabbit's neck, all the way down its stomach. His grin got bigger as the rabbit screamed in pain and bled to death. When it had finally died, the fox bent down and began to eat.

"You shall see," Gage said, a grin on his face. "You'll see.." He lifted his head to Thorn, who was returning to the camp. "Thorn!" he shouted. "Were you still wanting to kill something today? Something that will put up a good fight? Much better than that stag did?" He turned his head to scan the forest. Through the trees, he could see a figure chomping on a rabbit. "Oh, Maggio!" he called. "I think I've got something planned for all of us, hmm? Come, come! Let me explain!" His eyes narrowed, and his anxiety increased.






Dakotah
"No! We can't!" Dakotah yelled. "I'm sorry I lead you here. I was being.." She paused and looked away, searching for the words. "I wasn't being me. I don't know what happened. I just.. My body took over my mind. I don't know.. I.." She looked up at Yuki. "I'm so sorry. We shouldn't be here. You can keep going if you want to, but.." Her face seemed to droop with sorrow. "..Please don't go," she whispered.

Yuki's ears and tail drooped and he let out a loud sigh. "Fine." Slowly, he walked back to camp, his tail dragging in the dust. How are we going to survive with the solar eclipse coming? We can't fight the Clan of Shadows when we're weak! he thought to himself bitterly. He arrived in camp and pricked his ears, hearing Raja ask the alpha a question. He stood by, wondering how she would respond.

Thorn whipped her head towards Gage's voice as she heard her own name. Of course she would like something better to do! She "mmphed" behind the mouthful of deer hair, then padded quickly and strongly to the pile of fresh kill. Thorn spat out some fur as she approached Gage. "We have much work to do if we are to kill a Mist member in broad daylight," she answered Gage's call. She stared up at the sun; it blinded her, so she looked down, her lashes blinking rapidly to adjust from the quick brightness to the dark dirt of the camp.
