I think there should be a filter for your pets. It has every breed of animal on a drop-down list. For instance, If I chose, "Rabbits", then all of the rabbits in that group would appear on top of your other pets.
Please comment if you like/do not like this idea!

I believe that's what making separate groups is for, so that you can put the 'rabbits' in a "rabbits" group, and you'd find them together.
