Echostar nodded. "Ugh, me too," she said, shaking her pelt. "I feel like a giant sand monster," she said disgustedly.

Featherstep perked her ears. She had just spotted a bird hopping near a cactus. She crouched low, pulling herself forward noislessly. Then, she sprang and landed squarely on the bird.

"Oh nice catch Featherstep!" she called out. "That should feed two or three cats at least. And at the moment we need all the prey we can find!"

Featherstep purred at her Leader's praise, then buried her prey to take for later. She then sniffed around for more prey.

Silverwater lead the way out of the tunnel, always turning back to make sure Bramblestrike was following.

Bramblestrike followed close behind Silverwater, his fur ruffled in the wind as they exited the tunnels.

Silverwater looked at him, her eyes glittering. "Would you like to share some kill when we get back?"

[dr. pugs]

Echostar sniffed the air. "Just smells sandy" she remarked. Suddenly a whiff of mouse hit her nose and she looked down. The whole cactus forest was dug out in certain areas, so now the birds could get to the cactus's and the little creatures could burrow under the tunnels under the cactus forest. Maybe the sandstorm had been a good thing after all.

Featherstep ran off, returning a few minutes later. "Saw a mouse, but it saw me first." she mumbled.

Bramblestrike nodded. "Sure. I'm already hungry again!"

Silverwater smiled, bounding into the shark bone. She selected a mouse from the pile and settled down, waiting for Bramblestrike.
