In my opinion, twelve years is far too much. It is not unheard of that siblings are close to each other if they have one year difference if the eldest was very attached to the mother, but by the time twelve years have passed, the first kid would have moved on from being close to the mother, at least close enough to develop such a brother like bond, and would probably no longer feel that strong kinship with a goennec that is so many Sivs younger than it is. Twelve years of difference does not mean that they cannot develop a bond, as this is common, however I feel their being siblings would not affect this in the slightest, as once they are weaned and ready to move on, the notion of mother, father, etc, is lost to goennecs, as their families are not similar enough to humans for this. Again, this is just my opinion on the matter, not an actual response. ^^'

Ugh, stupid question that I waited way too long to ask:

Would a goennec ever be able to survive in a city, like a stray dog? And would they still form some form of a herd, like a disconnected herd of escaped pets and goennecs born in the city? Or would they not adjust well to that sort of lifestyle, even if they were born there?

And completely unrelated, but would a goennec be able to befriend a dog?

I understand your point Tam and maybe I should have been clearer with my question.
I don't intend them to be close at all. The younger one would just be envious of the older one, but they barely talk to each other or even hang out. They just know they have the same mother, and that's it.

I never could decide on one, nor could I work up a form, inbetween all my schoolwork. ^.^;; Good luck to everyone who did apply, though. :3

Could I get some feedback on why my form didn't win; I'm thinking it was because it was a kind of generic sounding personality, but I wanted to cover all types of personality in my herd so I gave her that one. Any opinions on it are appreciated.

Why do you want this Goennec?:
She is so pretty, I just love her face. I’ve been meaning to try for her since she was added a few rounds ago, but I didn’t have the time to fill out a form for her last round and the round before that I was trying for a different one.

How would you use this character?:
I would draw her, include her in my stories about my herd, maybe roleplay her, and add her to my character thread.

Define your Goennec:
Goennec in a Sentence: A very sweet Goennec who focuses on the happiness of those around her.
Likes: Butterflies, flowers, jokes, and catching little fishies.
Dislikes: Corn, mice, and stormy days.
Personality: Felicity is a very kind Goennec and if others are feeling sad, sick, or hurt then she will most likely be nearby trying to cheer them up. She loves to watch the kids play, but she prefers when they are not being hyper and so she will often tell them stories in an attempt to get them sitting calmly for a short while. She will also use her stories to lighten a sour or grave mood and she tries to use jokes in the same manner but she is not as successful at telling them and they often fall flat, but she will always laugh at another Goennecs joke even if it isn’t funny or she doesn’t understand it, just to keep the other Goennec from feeling awkward. She cares about others’ feelings so much in fact that she will ignore her own needs to make others happy and she has even been known to hide injuries so others won’t have to worry about her.

Hey, I'm working on a form, and I'm wondering if it would be okay to have a goennec be a 'former pet'? I want the goennec to be part of my herd, but I'd also like to explain the collar, and that in addition to the fact that I see the goey as transgender is making it seem very much like a mary sue. <_<

On an unrelated note, I drew Bird.

I've been really bored in school and keep doodling my herd. I'm home from school today so I tried to round up a couple of the drawings, but a lot of them were on the backs of papers that got passed in. I'll get those back eventually, lol.

And I messed around with paint on my brother's lap top. God I hate the new paint.

Melody: I can't say if it's against the rules or anything, but that doesn't sound like a mary sue to me. They seem like a really interesting character. ^^

Former pets are perfectly fine to make. :] When judging for goennecs with items I usually pick forms that explain the item so pets and former pets would be a good step for one with a collar.
For trans goeys, I require people to PM me with the reason you'd want to write them that way. I don't have any problems with the idea of trans goeys, I just started to notice it becoming a cop-out of sorts to escape the 'no changing their sex' rule. x] Reasons don't have to be 'deep' or anything, I just want to make sure you've (general you) got a legitimate idea rather than you wanted a girl, but your favorite this round is a boy.

The reason this form didn't win is because the lone paragraph that described the character was very flat and to be honest felt incredibly lazy. I read some other short forms this week that were very well written, and the character, while nothing extraordinary, being very normal and 'generic', was very nicely fleshed out and easy to grasp. I read this one a few times, asked another party to read it as well to see if maybe they saw it in another light, but unfortunately, we just didn't feel it. I know you are very capable of writing short yet effective forms, but this one really didn't feel like it had any thought behind it at all.

I love how Emma looks in that second picture, wibeke. <3

And Kam ninja'd me for any other responses. ID

Thank you Tammanae, school kept me busy most of the week so I kind of rushed it since I wanted to get it done, I was also pretty tired when I wrote it so that would probably explain it. I'm going to try for a different one this round to hopefully get my forms back to a decent level of quality, and then maybe after that I'll have another chance to try for her, we'll see if she's still there.

EDIT:
I finished my drawing of Bryce sorting his toys that I was doing for his form. He still looks kind of large, but not as bad.
Image
And for those who haven't read his form, here is why he is sorting his toys.

Goennec in a Sentence: A patient, obsessive Goennec who believes that everything has its place.
Likes: Sorting things, watching his humans work, and pears.
Dislikes: Messes, disorganization, and dogs.
Personality: Bryce is a very tidy Goennec and he can often be found organizing the toys that his owners buy him; especially since the other Goennecs that he lives with find it funny to rearrange them, scatter them about the room, or hide them throughout the house. Because the other Goennecs often act immature around him he usually considers himself the voice of reason in the house and will take it upon himself to keep everything under control and running smoothly while the humans are out.
Despite being proud of the work he does around the house he really enjoys it when his owners take him to their knickknack shop to let him watch them work. He finds the little items very interesting and he will carefully wander around the shop alerting his owners of anything that is out of place on the bottom shelves, though he will sometimes organize them himself if he feels that he is able to handle the items on his own. His owners do not allow the other Goennecs in the shop because they are too hyper or clumsy and may break something, which makes Bryce feel very privileged indeed.
