Secrets in the Clans (More cats please!)

Wildheart's eyes widened. "You can...No, most cats can't. In fact, I think you're the only cat who can. And then some of the cats in my Clan..." She didn't want to say exactly who, because after all, he was from a different Clan. "They can do other things, that other cats can't do. But as far as I can tell right now, most cats can't do anything special. Not to be mean. I just mean they don't have...have powers, I guess. But I do, and you do, and Dappleshine does, and some ThunderClan cats do, and who knows who else has powers. But I'm trying to figure out who has powers, and hopefully what they are if they'll tell me, and I'm trying to figure out why. In the history of the Clans, cats haven't had powers, but now, they do. What's changed?...And if a queen has a power, do her kits have powers too? I'm trying to find all this out, and figure out what we should do about it, or what." She looked at the ShadowClan warrior, waiting for a response.

[Puddles.]

LarchClaw blinks, surprised and confused. "well, we should check with WindClan and RiverClan...."

"I don't know...I don't want this to be too public until we've figured out what's going on."

[Puddles.]

LarchClaw shrugs. "Maybe we're part of a prophecy, like those four long ago in ThunderClan..."

Wildheart snorted. "You still believe those kit's tales?"

[Puddles.]

LarchClaw narrows his eyes. "You don't? Haven't you ever visited StarClan?"

[cqpkytty]

Wildheart looked away. "Well...not quite in StarClan, but I..." She sighed, thinking of Blazeclaw.

Kitty opened her eyes. She was in a sunny field. She looked around, wondering what was going on; then she realized she was a cat. She inspected herself. She had brown fur - no big surprise there, her hair was that color. She stretched, enjoying the way it felt. A cat walked up to her. He had firey red-orange fur; yet somehow, it seemed like his fur had stars in it. He greeted her warmly. "Hello, I'm Blazeclaw. And your name is...?"
"I...I'm Kitty," she stammered, giving him her nickname.
"Kitty?" he said. "Is that really the sort of thing Twolegs name their kits?"
Kitty sat down, confused. "Huh? What are you talking about?"
Blazeclaw purred, amused. "Of course, I forgot. There are a lot of words we Clan cats use that you wouldn't know. Twolegs are what you call...well, I don't know what you call them. You're a Twoleg, at least when you're not here, dreaming."

[Puddles.]

LarchClaw stares, wondering why she was suddenly quiet.

(BTW, to Larchclaw and any other cat who might happen to see the two of them talking, Wildheart is just staring off into space. )

"Oh! No, my parents didn't name me Kitty. They named me Amy. It's just that everyone calls me Kitty. It's my nickname."
"...Okay," Blazeclaw said. "Well, then, Kitty, I have a question."
"What?"
"Do you want to become a cat and join the Clans? You must understand that it would mean leaving your friends and family behind."
"I want to be a cat, if I even can be outside my dreams. I'm willing to leave everyone I know to do it. But I don't know what the Clans are, so I don't know if I want to join them."
"Then that's the first thing I'll teach you about. See, the forest is divided into four Clans, each having its own territory..." As he explained, Amy paid attention. This was amazing!
"I think I understand now," she said, when he was done talking. "Thanks for explaining. So I guess...I guess my answer is yes."
"Are you sure you want to commit to this?"
"Yes. I am." Kitty woke up to light streaming through her window.

LarchClaw narrows his eyes. Was this a distraction for an attack? He tastes the air. No....
