The Daemian Union (TDU) V2 (POSTING OPEN!)

Okay I did an analysis and I got the animal that would fit to be my Daemon would be the African Wild Dog, which I am totally fine with since in my research it is interpreted from the scientific word Lycaon Pictus which comes from the Greek word "wolf" and the Latin word "painted", really they are not that far from each other and I always found them to be a beautiful creature. I knew that the domestic dog wasn't really fit for me since I'm not that docile. Maybe if I was a wolf dog then I could live with that, but there is a streak of a wild attitude that lies within me, and I really value my freedom. I feel pretty comfortable with this and it also stated as I quote, "Your daemon's form would represent your social, playful, yet honest personality. He or she would probably urge you to create further mayhem, or would make snide comments in your ear about the people you meet on a daily basis." This is so true to the tee, there are things that just plain make me laugh.
Though the name isn't present in my mind but is there anyone that has named their Daemon or do you just wait till a name is present. I'm not sure if this like a meditation thing or maybe just have a conversation with him. Any one have some suggestions?

I enjoy creating names, so the first I thought of was Veetanuim. (Vee-tuh-new-im) I'm not too sure if it is a real word, but it stuck, and Vee approved enthusiastically. Anything else I thought of was either rejected by Vee, me, or both.

I guess that wouldn't be a bad idea since I love using my imagination...I totally embrace the word...I am into unique names with meaning so I guess I have some soul searching to where we are both are comfortable, though we are comfortable with others giving us ideas.

@i8chichi: the main problem with that test is that it was made by a member who didn't know forms very well, so while the descriptions are accurate the form suggestions are next to worthless. :/ Our way of analyzing has drastically evolved since she was an active member and that quiz was created anyway. The result you cp'd puts me in mind of possums (which are very different from opossums, haha), small ungulates such as dik-diks and pudus, and members of Lorisadae such as pottos and slow lorises. Maybe voles, mouse/dwarf lemurs, and gliders as well.

I hate to suggest these because sighhhh everyone and their mother latches onto these forms because they're so fluffy-wuffy adorable, but maybe red pandas and sand cats too.

Ok thinking it over I have settled on the name Makatza which is a Basque name meaning...wild; untamed. It settles well since there are days where I am unpredictable and I don't know what mood I am in and he is urging me on.

Detail, schmetail. If you give me a rundown of your most prominent traits I can at least try to point you in a general direction, though oftentimes the members on this site are too young to get a read on. :P How social are you, and who do you socialize with (a large, tightly-knit group of friends, only a few close buddies, a wide circle of acquaintances, etc.)? How do you react to conflict? How anxious, sensitive, protective, plan-oriented, secretive, and caring are you (and who towards)?. How do you feel about group work vs. solo work?

Aw maaan, I hate it when RAs get overlooked. I just scanned it over and based on what I bare-bones info I know about sugar gliders, they seem like a good fit. You could also check out common ringtail possums, Ruppell's foxes, marmosets, tamarins, and maybe even Asian small-clawed otters. You say you're not the most social person at one point, but the rest of your RA contradicts that--you sound like a socially-selective extrovert. :P

Oh thank you! From the both of us! I'd be happy to have even a little bit of a nudge in the right direction!

Now let me see.. I'm not very social and though I do enjoy time spent with a small group of friends social interaction is very exhausting for me and it doesn't take long for me to get irritable if I don't get much time to myself. This might be because I really can't be myself around people, I talk tough and walk cool when I'm around other folks because I feel like I have to be, really though, I'm pretty darn sensitive, shy and insecure. I like to feel protected, I'm submissive, having other people around helps with that so long as I'm not interacting with them constantly of course. Anxiety is my middle name; I'm a nail-biter and a fidgeter and I stress and worry about details of details and I like to have a plan though I'm a little too scatter-brained to hold a lot of plans together because I tend to forget about things until the last minute and get distracted. I can't handle conflict at all, it triggers my anxiety attacks and I shutdown. In make-or-break situations though, I do a pretty darn good job of reacting quickly and effectively - instinct kinda takes over I guess. I like to think I'm caring, I can't possibly hold a grudge and it lights me to help other people or see others happy - mostly my close friends since they're kindof my chosen family. I like to be responsible for my own work, but if a group works well t'gether there ain't nothing quite like it and its really pretty awesome.
