Suggestion: Making pets easier to find

I often find myself going through a LOT of people trying to find a certain pet. And an hour or two later, I would find it but it's not for trade. I know that I can always post in the forums asking if anyone wants to trade for the pet, but there are also people who barely touch the forums.

I asked a few friends and I heard that they said that there is no other way to find the pet I want, I just have to go through rows and rows of people and opening up their trades and seeing if the pet on my wishlist is available for trade.

So! I wanted to know if it's possible for there to be link next to each pet in the archive. The link would show all those available pets that can be traded for and it would link the person to that pet or owner. It would be a huge difference in time, and disappointment when you can find these pets.

Unless, if there is another way besides luck that someone can tell me about?

That is the challange with trading. Finding them.
But you can always use the search function too.

But it might not work well when it comes to rares/very rares.

I believe something similar to this has been suggested before and was turned down. ^^;
As Sabje mentioned, finding pets is part of the challenge of trading. Linking to active users with the pets you're searching for could possibly make them feel like their privacy is being violated. What if their pet was NFT? The staff couldn't possibly update the links for each pet over and over, checking if they're NFT/locked/etc or not. D:

Ah, was it? I went through a chunk of the forums and didn't see anything similar to it.
That is unfortunate though.

I understand the privacy and NFT and the constant updating. I was kinda hoping there was a tracker for the pets. Tracking down pets myself has been very tiring. I gave up a lot too. It's just very disappointing after a couple of hours of searching, you find no results.

Use the search function or make a trade thread, or advertise in your siggy and trade settings

Aren't there around 70 million pets on the site?
That would be very slow to trawl through search-wise.
And as the person with the lowest ID apart from Tess, I would not like to be the first person to appear on every pet trade search for every pet in my trade group XD

Re pet finding, sometimes you have to let the pets find you. Post (relevant things) in different threads such as discussion, swaps, good trade, bad trade threads and any other boards that interest you. People tend to randomly send trades when they see you're online.
