Butterfly reference
My second (and last) marble cat as a GA of this wonderful species <3 Had so much fun on this one, and I'm pleased with how he looks! c: He's based of the butterfly above, with a slightly more colourful theme than on the original butterfly. I wanted it to look amazing, and I really hope I succeeded.
Same as on my first marble cat, I'm asking you to send me a bid containing at least one uncommon. Any wishlist pets are enormous boosters! However, since I enjoy this one's design so much I'll be judging very much on how your form looks. Sure, you're not required to fill one in, although it'd boost your chances even higher if you did a good form <3

His pastel green eyes simply could not get enough of this scenery. Without a doubt, he could sit for hours and watch nature unfold before him. Unfortunately, there were other matters to attend to and, reluctantly, Athanase rose from his haunches. Beautifully decorated wings flexed, basking in the sun as he stretched, reveling in the feel of his muscles loosening in preparation for flight. An impatient wind brushed along his mane as he straightened, and his wings responded automatically, unfolding to fill with warm autumn air. Being only a couple inches high, the pitiful breeze was enough to lift him off the ground. Immediately, his heart was racing and his insides clenched with excitement. Flying was quite possibly the only thing in the world that never failed to bring him joy. It was an expression of utmost freedom - to defy gravity meant the world was literally at the tips of his mint-green claws. In the air, he could conquer the world.
With a fear of heights keeping him low to the ground, he extended a paw to brush it through the delicate grass. Unfortunately once again, with a sharp pang in his belly, he was reminded he was on a mission and picked up the pace, no longer floating aimlessly. Hunger had led him to his favorite garden - an unfenced expanse of lawn protruding from the rear of a human house. If Reika knew I fed here, he mused with the slightest twitch of his whiskers, she would probably tear off my wings herself. Even knowing approaching humans was considered risky, he couldn't resist the temptation. It was the same with flying - the lure of danger gave him an enjoyable rush of adrenaline. With confidence blossoming in his chest, Athanase closed the distance between himself and the garden. It was full to bursting with his favorite flower - Lily of the Valley. Just the sight of the delicate white petals tipped him toward the edge of carelessness, and he didn't bother checking his surroundings before landing at the very base of the plant.

Just as he was about to leap forward to crawl up the stem, an ominous, familiar noise reached his highly sensitive ears. A wasp! The pitch of the buzz was undeniable, and he immediately leaped for cover, vanishing beneath some low-lying leaves, hoping his earthen tones hid him from the beady eyes of the wasp. Just my luck! I'm so hungry, and these stupid wasps just-- mid-thought and peering cautiously around the leaves, his eyes landed on a very unusual sight. Maybe about a foot away, there was a wasp caught beneath what looked to be a fallen plant. Somehow the stalk had snapped, knocking the wasp to the ground and effectively pinning it and its fragile wings to the earth floor. Slowly, a smirk twisted his muzzle. Karma! You constantly terrorize and kill us, and nature strikes back. With confidence effectively restored, Athanase emerged from his hiding place to approach the flailing insect. It ignored him and, the longer he observed, the more he began to feel uneasy. He was a believer in karma, trusted fate to give everyone what they deserved, but watching this creature struggle, he couldn't help but feel sick. Instinct told him to kill and save both he and his cluster from any future threat, but the wasp's helplessness was softening his normal intolerance for enemies.
"I'm going to free you, wasp," before he realized it, his mouth was moving and he stepped closer to the insect, tails flicking with an unusual glimmer of uneasiness. "and you better not kill me for doing it." If the insect understood him, or was even capable of doing so, it showed no sign, simply buzzing with all its strength to break free. Athanase moved gracefully, and with learned accuracy, steering clear of the stinger as he approached the stalk that kept it pinned. Trying to keep one eye on the bug, he took advantage of his extreme flexibility to first poke his nose under the stem, then wiggle in his head and torso, pushing against the ground in an attempt to lift the plant just enough for the wasp to fly free. Abruptly, the wasp shook free, and Athanase jerked quickly away from the plant as it snapped back to the earth. He was immediately on the defense, dropping to his haunches, hackles raised, a hiss gurgling in his throat in preparation for the wasp to attack. As much as he hated to fight, he was fully capable. Gazing upward in anticipation, he watched as a shadow crossed the sun, looming from above. ...to be continued?
